At very long last we have a Facebook page! The plan is to gradually upload the archive, discuss what's to discuss & share the latest news. Early days so it's not hugely populated yet but here it is. Welcome.

A Friday evening treat.
How incredibly cool is this. Rock steady at 120mph with Ted in charge. Turn the sound up loud! 🚤

@bluebirdk7 A quick internet search shows the next meeting to be at 7.00 pm on Monday 20th July, a parishioner putting forward a vote of no confidence in the current trustees would at least get the ball rolling, got any contacts BBP?
@bluebirdk7 So before time dilutes the situation, which I’d imagine is exactly what the current trustees want , perhaps they could raise the situation at parish level. The golden goose has flown, they had one chance to really put Coniston back on the map and the trustees blew it, big time.
@otboae@RolandDeCarra@bluebirdk7 The parish of Coniston who own and manage the RM isn’t a corporate body though.Surely there must be many in the parish who disagree with the current situation.
@keswicklad Bluebird Project (BBP) are a group of volunteers from North Shields led by Bill Smith - without whom Bluebird K7 wouldn’t have been found, recovered, restored over a twenty-year plus period of painstaking work to 4/1/67 (crash date) condition, and run at Loch Fad @bluebirdk7
When Dr. John and Jools Holland sat down for an epic piano duel in 1988, the poor keys never knew what hit them! 🎹🔥 Two boogie-woogie masters going head-to-head, pounding out rhythms like they’re trying to knock the lid off the piano. Top hats, wild energy, and pure musical mayhem—vintage chaos at its finest. Who needs subtlety when you’ve got this much soul? 😂
@bluebirdk7 Perhaps they should have spent more time focussing on ‘K7-The Festival’ ,rather than creating a preemptive X profile and responses, knowing the deserved criticism that would be headed their way. Hey-ho, that’s the mindset of these individuals.
@andyroo1981@bluebirdk7 What we have seen this week is a disgrace, an absolute insult to Donald Campbell, K7 and the team of volunteers that spent 20 years recovering & restoring Bluebird. Donald would have greatly praised the historically correct K7 operating perfectly on Bute in 2018. Coniston 26 👎

@NGAutoArt Neil, hope you’re in fine https://t.co/Y7kmZQg0fn proud, very proud, you know how much pleasure ‘Coming Home’ gives me. Look forward to what you have planned.
@the_real_nick_b@bluebirdk7 "Like driving Ayrton Sennas car round the car park at Sao Paulo and saying it had returned to his home track."
After hacking the chassis to get the wrong V12 to fit.
There's a great Q&A with Bluebird's lead pilot, Ted Walsh on the YouTube channel this week discussing several of the 2018 runs on Bute including the lost canopy & high speed return that the trolls loved so much. 😉

Come on board for a sail first Mr Greer, so you know what you’re taxing.
Here’s my biggest yacht. No beds or galley, so bring that wetsuit you're fond of wearing. Not even a loo, so be prepared to “bucket and chuck it"!
