@Ahmadezvous@clayharbs82 Every year they do a re-draft, they should have to show the previous years re-draft to show how incredibly wrong they were the with just one more season of data. Wasn't it Daniels then Nix last year?
@clayharbs82 If I'm Washington, my worst fear with JD was injury risk. He's a Ferrari that thinks he's a tank. Two years in, those fears have been realized. Given a do over, I'd take Drake and hope he could have similar success in Washington without an OC who won 6 super bowls with Brady.
@clayharbs82 If I'm the Bears, since I didn't draft Caleb for stats in year 2, I'm sticking with my pick. I hoped the escapability and elite improv skills would translate to the NFL. I hoped he could thrive in structure and take advantage of gen arm talent. He has been more than I hoped for.
@NicholasMoreano Cole has looked really good the last 2 games with and without the ball. But I have no idea why that was a 14 yard gain and not 15 for a 1st down. In what world do you spot the ball a yard short of the 30.
@ocho_JINco@HHS1DPU@AnnieAgar The old "missed penalty on virtually every play". No comment shows a more nuanced understanding of officiating quite like that one.
@schwartzsteins I thought this was really cool addition. In general, I'm a big fan of the prime vision telecast. One area to improve is once the ball is thrown, highlight the target and stop highlighting open receivers with the green orb.
@pmart2452@FirstTake@Realrclark25 🎯 Scrolling the comments and this is the 1st that mentioned the guy with three super bowl rings as offensive coordinator.
@BootKreweMedia The old folks learned this rule around 30 years ago on Thanksgiving when Leon Lett cost the Cowboys a win after they blocked a potential go ahead FG.
@iamcogs@Gaardian2 I feel like a number of Caleb's "misses" this year have been option route / sight adjustments where the receiver isn't where he expects, mostly w Zacheus. No idea who is right, but seems like more miscommunication than an accuracy issue.

Keenan Allen and Caleb Williams stayed in the same hotel during mandatory minicamp and spent a lot of time together learning the playbook, all while watching the NBA Finals and playing Monopoly Deal.
Allen: "I'm not a guy who masters the playbook by any means sitting at home just looking at the playbook. That's not how I learn it. I'm a trial and error guy. I learn through mistakes. Just being able to sit there with him, he'd call out the play, I'd draw it up, vice versa ... we talk about the play — what I like, what I'm used to, what I usually see — and then going over the knowledge, making sure we're on the same page. Just being able to communicate at this level. Obviously you've got new terminology from college and you're going to get different coverages, too. Just giving him the knowledge that I was taught being with guys like Philip Rivers, obviously Justin Herbert, and just making sure we're seeing things the same way."
@kct2020 Totally agree. Such an important skill for a qb. Caleb is so natural throwing with touch, even under pressure / in a messy pocket where most young QBs throw a fastball even when the situation calls for a touch pass.
Last week, Caleb Williams had the best interview of his career on the always awesome Pivot Podcast.
Caleb was asked about the high school championship game that he described as "the craziest game I've ever been a part of".
I've cut it up with the actual game footage. Enjoy.
Bears investment at WR since Ryan Poles came in:
1st (top 10): Odunze
2nd: Claypool (pick 32)
2nd: DJ Moore (considered trade value)
3rd: Velus Jones
4th: Keenan Allen (+ $23M cap)
4th: Tyler Scott
5th: nada
6th: nada
7th: Nkeal Harry
Massive & important investment
@theStevenRuiz@MrRyanCox Some great throws, but this one stood out for me. I think throwing w touch and anticipation in a messy pocket takes incredible poise /pocket presence. Where his man is at release point vs catch point is insane with the DE coming free and the amount of pressure he faced all day.
