@desert_starr_57 The guitar riffs were really fun. Gave me old Flash Gordon vibes (for good reason). Leto was great. Still had it's problems but was fun.
@DanFriedman81 Spent some time doing this for some Afghani dude that clearly had nothing but contempt for us. The rest of the community that was supposed to be helping were nowhere to be found. Learned more about people than about building a house.
@JTAlexander A lot of that potential I think can come from parental engagement and skills being taught early. I could read before starting kindergarten because my mother made sure I could. Never fell behind my entire life.
@DrFrankTurek Grew up attending Calvary Chapels. They are boomer/yuppie focused. Somehow "turn the other cheek" and "happy wife, happy life" merged into a weird form of doormat Christianity. They raised a generation of leaders who have no resolve to tell hard truths.
@worldreads Those who study history have a chance to personally learn from it, but are forced to stand by helplessly as everyone else repeats the same mistakes.
@ImFiredUp2@MrSausageGet@StacyMAGAGirl@grok what is the typical re-election rate of incumbent senators? What percentage of temporary appointments have won re-election in the following cycle?
@nonamechef419 @HealthRanger The re-election rate of incumbent senators is very high. Close to 90% iirc. Talking points about it being "temporary" are laughable. The rules allow it, but taking advantage of a system on a technicality is third world crap. The founders were clear on writs of nobility.
@TheCriticalDri2 This is basically the retarded air conditioner debate all over again. "I'm better because I like making things harder on myself so I can brag about it".
@EricSpracklen I think they just don't care. None of their establishment buddies are going to force their hand. They can say whatever they want with impunity and still be able to hold out past August 3rd.
