The “one-off” spending increases during the pandemic have - exactly as predicted - become permanent. Governments find it much easier to spin the taps open than to screw them shut. People now expect every problem to be solved by state expenditure.
@LNRailway Hi there. What will you be doing to adapt pricing and flexibility in fares given more people will be working at home rather than in the office 5 days a week. Any innovation to make it easier. ?
@waitrose please can you explain how you qualify for Waitrose grocery vouchers? We shop there every week and buy full family shops and have never received money off vouchers. Whereas I know ‘part time’ shoppers have been sent money off vouchers. !!!
@LNRailway Any other service provider, in any other industry would look to make this up somehow, communicate better, offer something in acknowledgement of the change in service level for when i committed my 4K plus fare for the service/ carriages I thought I was getting.
@LNRailway why oh why ... are you using old stock trains on peak commuter time to and from Berkhamsted. No air con, no internet.. someone please explain? Can we seek a refund for the drop in quality. ?
@LNRailway Can you understand our frustration when fares are going up and service levels, internet/ air con / digital readouts/ tannoys are going down - for now you tell me will be like half of the year
@LNRailway Thanks for quick reply. Still don’t understand. Why have they been changed while waiting for extra carriages. Can’t they be added on when they arrive.
Philip Hammond is quite right to fight prorogation, which is undemocratic, but so is subverting the will of the people, where he appears to be a cheer leader. There is a fine but very distinctive line on this issue! There is NO irrefutable evidence that Brexit will be disastrous
Of the 48 EU referenda, "not once has there been re-run when the result was in favour of integration," points out Lord Lamont, but when they've gone against, the EU has "bulldozed" 🇮🇪 🇫🇷 🇩🇰 🇳🇱
"A 2nd referendum would be a disaster of the 1st order for democracy."
