On 13 April 2023, the Dept of Community Medicine organized a health awareness program on "COVID-19 & Covid Appropriate Behaviour". A Nukkad Natak was enacted by the 2021 batch of MBBS students at OPD complex of the GB Pant Hospital & around 100 participants joined the program.

On 12 Apr 2023, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration inaugurated the Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) in GB Pant Hospital, attached to ANIIMS's Dept of Microbiology. It would enhance the capacity for timely diagnosis of viral diseases.
