Mahogany was just 20 years old. She had a family. A future. An entire life ahead of her.

**She begged for help. Instead, she was subjected to unspeakable cruelty.**

If convicted, those responsible should face the full consequences of the law.

**And if convicted and sentenced to death, don't let them sit on death row for another 40 or 50 years while taxpayers foot the bill.**

Give them their constitutionally required appeals, ensure the convictions are sound, and carry out the sentences without decades of unnecessary delays.

A dozen girls walked away in protest from a high school cross-country race in Washington state on Tuesday after a male, who had raced on the boy's team for his school earlier in the season, was now racing against them as a girl. I applaud these young ladies for standing up for themselves and the rights of female athletes.
