@JimAcostaJr @Beganovic2025 Read my twit! I’m saying they’re building now, then they’ll announce, the devoted will come, then they’ll build this city into the above cities so more will come
@Beganovic2025 Also, city hall just passed short term rental regulations with one of the reasons being it’s an active threat to affordable housing in the city. Respectfully, with all of these new apartments being developed, lick the soot off my shoe city hall.
@Beganovic2025 My conspiracy theory is that a major corporation will be moving its HQ here in the next 5-10 years and they’re working with these developers to build out the city’s capacity and offerings. City government will be blindsided though per usual.
@Beganovic2025 First time reader first time caller. With all the news of new developments in STL I continually fall back to the same question. What data point(s) show that there’s demand for these developments? I mean every week a restaurant in the city closes. What are they seeing?
@2024dion God after reading the comments here I’ve truly come to accept why this city sucks. Close minded people who scapegoat every issue. One guy said “needs housing”. Painful
@MondayHeinz@2024dion Wild take here… insult the person and call them names then say the county is nice 😂 this person has never sniffed the city/county line
@Beganovic2024 @8teAPi@saintlouismayor@Citizens4STL @STLCityTalk Would love to know how effective it is considering it was built in 2015…. Just my first thoughts but I’ll look at it more
@8teAPi Maybe we can spend some of that surplus or rams money on this since we can find/hire enough police officers. @saintlouismayor@Citizens4STL @STLCityTalk
Post game @theallinpod
-why are you bearish on SAAS @chamath
-Clear house @DNC
-Gen Z financial independence segment still digesting
Great stuff tonight @friedberg
@VPContentAcq18 @Beganovic2024 Not sure why you’re making the assumption I want it to stay stagnant considering I said I do business here. I’ve done nothing but ask questions so I can understand the situation.
Genuinely how do you fuck this place up. I mean I can’t decide if the problems in the city are causing businesses to close or just pure incompetence from businesses owners???
@Beganovic2024 Which companies are driving the increase in jobs in the area? I haven’t heard of any major investments by large corporations, and every news story I read reports another business leaving downtown or closing. These events might be unrelated to jobs, but something doesn’t add up.
