@Rocks_Suman1 Cannot explain feeling and pain our family suffering from 10 days . Sanjay SAH is my brother in law . Thank all for prayer rescue and support of all people 🙏
@Rejinaakhadka12 7 days waiting for my family member trapped in a hydropower tunnel.Political ego, poor coordination & inexperienced leadership are costing lives across 5 hydropower projects. Too much is happening on Facebook and in the news, too little on the ground.
Every hour matters.
794 bodies recovered. Thousands still unaccounted for. Tell us, what was their crime?
I am writing this from the Himalayas from a country responsible for only around 0.1% of global greenhouse-gas emissions. Nearly 46% of our land is covered by forests. Around 94% of our installed electricity capacity comes from hydropower. We are rapidly moving away from fossil-fuel vehicles too: EVs accounted for about 74% of Nepal’s four-wheeled passenger vehicle imports in 2025/26. We protect forests. We generate electricity from our rivers. We are embracing electric mobility at a pace few countries in the world have matched. Yet today, our people are digging through mud, searching rivers and waiting beside phones for the names of their loved ones.
The Bhote Koshi flash flood has shown us what it means to live beneath a rapidly changing cryosphere. Our glaciers are retreating, our frozen mountains are becoming increasingly unstable, and the rivers that generate our clean electricity can also carry destruction into communities below. We did not build our prosperity by burning generations of coal and oil. We contributed almost nothing to creating the climate crisis at this scale. But we are being forced to survive its consequences. The people whose bodies are being pulled from rivers did not cause this crisis. The families still waiting for thousands of missing people did not cause it. The children, farmers, workers and mountain communities who lost everything did not cause it.
So from the Himalayas, we ask the industrialised world: how many Himalayan bodies will be enough? How many mothers must wait for children who never return? How many villages must disappear before “climate justice” becomes more than a speech at another conference? Do not come to us only with sympathy after the bodies have been counted. Come with responsibility. Come with climate finance, adaptation, loss-and-damage support and the courage to cut emissions at the scale this emergency demands. We want climate justice. We want the right to survive in our own mountains. We want a world where being born in the Himalayas is not a death sentence for a crisis we did not create.
@RONBupdates They are currently searching only the accessible tunnel area. The workers may be trapped in another section of the underground complex, where all 93 missing workers were working when the disaster occurred
The search area needs to be expanded to cover the entire underground .

I genuinely don’t understand how we are supposed to casually process that a glacier literally collapsed in Nepal, erasing 19 bridges and killing over 600 people, because the planet is too hot. And instead of stopping it, billionaires are building more data centres. It is completely psychotic.
@Starlink What’s stop Nepal to give access and help the rescue operation in Nepal we are waiting from 4 days to contact our person from trapped inside hydropower tunnel

During the Uttarakhand tunnel rescue in India, when specialized expertise was urgently needed, renowned Australian tunnelling expert Professor Arnold Dix was brought in to assist. The mission was extremely complex, yet the trapped workers were ultimately rescued safely.
Nepal should not waste any more time. If Professor Arnold Dix or other internationally experienced tunnel-rescue experts can be reached, contact them immediately. India also has recent experience from a major tunnel rescue operation ask for their equipment, technical support, and lessons from that mission.
It has already been more than 72 hours. When every second matters, why is the government still delaying the approval and deployment of international experts?
Balen, the Government of Nepal, and everyone in a position to help, please push this urgently. This is no longer the time for bureaucracy, hesitation, or pride. Use every possible national and international resource available.
Our friends and workers are still trapped inside. Time is running out. If something irreversible happens simply because we failed to act quickly enough, the government will have extremely serious questions to answer.
Please act now. Every minute matters. 🙏💔
🚨 URGENT: Reaching out to my network for any leads, expertise, or actionable intel.
Critical Update from Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project, Nepal
The rescue operation is still underway. Teams from the Nepal Army, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), and specialized geotechnical experts are working together on site under extremely challenging conditions.
Current situation:
- The main tunnel entrance is completely blocked by debris.
- The debris is estimated to be more than 10 meters thick.
- Rescue teams are currently excavating in an attempt to reach the cable duct—the passage through which underground power cables run from the generator cavern to the switchyard—in hopes of creating an access point to those trapped inside.
We need expert input urgently.
If you have experience in tunnel rescue, underground mining, geotechnical engineering, micro-tunneling, drilling through landslide debris, confined-space rescue, or emergency excavation, please share any recommendations, contacts, or proven techniques that could help responders identify the fastest and safest way to gain access.
This is a race against time. Every minute matters.

New analysis reveals that the flood wave traveled the first 25 km (15 miles) of its catastrophic descent at an average speed of 150 km/h (93 mph), reaching a maximum velocity of 190 km/h (120 mph) at the Nepal–Tibet border.
It has already been 59 hours since the devastating flood at Bhotekoshi. Six of my friends who work at the Chilime Hydropower Plant are still missing. They were about 150 metres inside the tunnel, working in the control room of CHPCL.
I was near them in Syabrubesi yesterday and today the whole day but the rescue effort is not progressing the way we hoped.
It’s too frustrating. Please do something. We need a high level expert team who are trained to rescue on dangerous cliffs. They may already be running out of breath. DO HELP TOMORROW MORNING !
New from @vantortech, absolutely astonishing images of the China-Nepal Gyirong Port/Rasuwagadhi border post.
Literally nothing is left.
