Indian Express की इन्वेस्टिगेशन के मुताबिक, देश के टॉप खिलाड़ियों और खेल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के लिए बनाए गए National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) के पैसे का इस्तेमाल ब्यूरोक्रेट्स के लिए बने सरकारी आवासीय कैंपस और Civil Services Officers’ Institute जैसी जगहों पर स्पोर्ट्स सुविधाएं विकसित करने में किया गया।

रिपोर्ट में दावा किया गया है कि तापमान नियंत्रित स्विमिंग पूल, टेनिस कोर्ट और दूसरी सुविधाओं पर करोड़ों रुपए खर्च किए गए, जबकि यह फंड मूल रूप से खिलाड़ियों की ट्रेनिंग और खेल ढांचे को मजबूत करने के लिए बनाया गया था।

ऐसे ही नहीं देश के टॉप एथलीट्स का मोटिवेशन होता है कि एक बार मेडल जीत लें, फिर सरकारी बाबू बन जाएंगे। उनको पता है कि इस देश में असली सिस्टम किसके लिए काम करता है।

Well, that’s not how things work. Competitive examinations are not merely tests of knowledge, but also tests of timing, mental conditioning, emotional stability, and peak performance achieved after months or years of disciplined preparation. Serious students structure their entire routine around one examination date, carefully managing sleep, revision cycles, stress levels, mock tests, and mental sharpness to perform at their absolute best on that particular day.

When an exam is cancelled despite their honest effort, they are forced to recreate the same level of focus and intensity again, which is mentally exhausting and usually impossible with the same efficiency.

The hardest-working students are affected the most because they invest the greatest emotional and mental energy into preparation. After the first exam, many experience burnout, fatigue, reduced concentration, emotional numbness, and loss of momentum. Even if their knowledge remains intact, their sharpness may decline during the re-exam.

Most damaging of all, paper leaks weaken a sincere student’s faith in merit itself. When students realize that even years of hard work cannot protect them from systemic failures caused by others’ dishonesty, it creates frustration, helplessness, and distrust toward institutions.

This is why a leak-proof exam is non-negotiable, the bare minimum that can be done for hard working students.

राजेन्द्र राठौड़ को खुद शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने एप्रीशिएट किया है।

सुबह से कुछ दूसरे ऐसे ट्वीट देखने को मिल रहे थे कि राजस्थान का फलां नेता बंगाल झंडे गाड़ आया, फलां से ये पहाड़ पलट दिया।

उसी दौरान मेरे दिमाग में एक बार के लिए ये बात आई कि राजस्थान के सीनियर लीडर राजेन्द्र राठौड़ भी तो बंगाल में ठीक काम करके आए हैं उनके समर्थक और कार्यकर्ता राठौड़ साब की पीठ क्यों नहीं थपथपा रहे ?

लेकिन फिर हुआ यूं कि सम्भवतः बंगाल के होने वाले अगले मुख्यमंत्री ने खुद मीडिया में आकर बता दिया कि राजेन्द्र राठौड़ ने उनके लिए बहुत काम किया। और असल में शुभेंदु अधिकारी का ये स्टेटमेंट सब पीआर पर भारी है।

हमारे समय में जब बालक चोट खाकर रोता था तो बड़े कहते थे कि महाराणा सांगा के 80 से अधिक घाव हुए थे तो भी एक हाथ से लड़ते रहे।

बहुत बाल्यकाल से ही भीषण से भीषण चोट लगने पर भी मुख पर पीड़ा का भाव भी न आने देना व कार्य करते रहना - यह महाराणा सांगा ने ही सिखाया।

आज भी बड़ी से बड़ी विपदा सामने आती है तो यही प्रथम विचार आता है - महराणा सांगा के तो 80 से अधिक घाव हुए थे। एक आँख, एक हाथ, एक पैर से भी लड़ते रहे। हारे नहीं।

Wing Commander Namansh Syal was known for his discipline and excellent service record.

His wife is also an Air Force officer. They have a five-year-old daughter. Imagine how happy they must have been when he was selected to represent India at the Dubai Expo, where countries send their best pilots.

Their daughter must have been bubbling with excitement, reminding him to bring her something from Dubai. He would have planned a little sightseeing, a little shopping, and a lot of memories to bring home after the expo.

His parents, his father also a veteran, were at his house in Hyderabad to see him after he came back from Dubai.

And then, in a few unforgiving seconds, everything ended. The country will mourn for a few days, offer condolences, and move on to the next headline. But for his family, the pain is permanent. Their world has shifted irreversibly. Their lives will never be what they were a moment before that crash.

For every uniform we salute, there is a family that silently carries the cost of that courage. Their strength is the unseen backbone of our nation’s defence.
