Esta animación de la NASA rastrea anomalías globales de la temperatura del aire entre 1964 y 2024, comparadas con el promedio de 1951-1980. Con el tiempo, la distribución de estas anomalías no sólo cambia a la derecha, sino que se ensancha, mostrando tanto el calentamiento persistente como el aumento de las temperaturas extremas. Para 2024, el año más cálido registrado, las temperaturas globales promediaban 1,3°C más altas que la media del periodo de referencia.
