It’s impossible to get around.

In 2020, Michigan Football was getting blown out weekly.

They had nothing to play for, and stopped enforcing their own COVID protocols.

An outbreak occurred (most were asymptomatic or had mild symptoms), and the UM Athletic Department bailed on the season.

In 2021, Michigan Hockey had their own outbreak.

This time, the UM Athletic Department manipulated medical records and pressured UM Hockey players to lie about COVID-positive test results.

Why the change?

The hockey team was a 2-seed in the NCAA tournament, eyeing a national title.

The football team was 2-4, and had just gotten rolled at home by 0-5 Penn State.

When a title was up for grabs, Michigan falsified medical records to ensure games were played.

When they stunk and a Buckeye blood bath loomed, the same exact medical scenario presented far too dangerous a risk for them to take the field.

The same AD made both of these completely contradictory decisions just 3 months apart.
