@AtlasMD@realDonaldTrump@DrDiGiorgio@anish_koka@DutchRojas Just at a quick glance — the GLP-1s here are sold at much lower prices for cash-pay patients (via LilyDirect and Novocare).
Though if your point was to curate a list based off of what the consumer would pay if they just walked up to a random pharmacy and paid cash…
@mfcannon Doctor visit with my old insurance: $184.
Me last week: I just started a new job and haven’t signed up for my insurance yet.
Dr’s office: Well you’ll need to pay for this visit out of pocket and submit it later.
Me: OK
Dr’s office: That will be $125.
Interesting company -- and hopefully a major force for good! To my #DPC colleagues looking to help #cashpay patients -- check this out!

Medicare physician payments have been cut five consecutive years and, when adjusted for inflation, have been reduced more than 30% over the past 20 years. These cuts are a major driver of:
^ declining access to primary care
^ loss of independent physician practices
^ consolidation and the rise of corporate medicine
The inability or unwillingness on the part of Congress to address this issue is not simply frustrating, it is creating instability in our health care delivery system and impacting physicians' ability to provide care to Medicare patients.

@keithnewton I’m so glad this serves a purpose for someone! Drives me nuts every time I’m happily talking on my phone/headphones and all of a sudden the car steals the audio/microphone — especially when I’m not the one in the car 😂 !
These findings suggest that nonprofit hospitals allocate less community benefit spending to socially vulnerable and racially and ethnically minoritized communities. https://t.co/ebg4uX6fMQ @joefigs2
I've been thinking a lot about women's health -- and wonder what experiences you all have had in either treating "women's health" or being on the receiving end. Do you feel like women-specific issues have good data? Good treatments? Ample attention?
I favor a rational, evidence and science-based approach to medicine and health. I also favor taking an approach that favors letting the body try to heal itself first through the basics -- good choices, exercise, healthy foods, rest, etc. These are not mutually exclusive.

The gut microbiome signature from different diets in >20,000 individuals. Red meat intake correlated with reduced cardiometabolic health; the opposite for plant-based foods or in omnivores with enriched plant-based intake

I'm not sure why this doesn't get more news:
1) The #EpicEHR provides the software that runs about 40% of hospitals nationwide
2) this is not the first time an Epic hospital has been crippled by a #cyberattack
3) if one Epic #hospital is vulnerable...?
