Wow, it's a real scorcher out there!
Guess what? Every summer, for the rest of our lives, is going to be the hottest summer its ever been. Eventually, most of the winter will be spent trying to figure out how to survive summer. And then, some day, we won't.
@drvolts I remember when Joe Biden had the national stage 14 days after January 6th publicly declaring it was peaceful. “Unbroken tradition of a peaceful transfer of power,” he lied
George Santos has been expelled. If they can do this to a college volleyball star, world famous Brazilian journalist, successful NYC financier and noted producer of the Spider Man musical, what hope is there for we mere mortals?
There's been about a million think pieces asking "why are people so miserable about the economy," but I'm yet to see one grapple with the fact that folks are spending as if they're actually pretty optimistic about their economic futures.
Massive credit to Biden for this: when someone's student loans get cancelled, he's sending them an email saying "I DID THAT, IT WAS ME." Obama would never
“Children may experience difficulties with attention, concentration, memory, and problem-solving abilities after contracting COVID-19. These symptoms can impact academic performance and overall quality of life.”
Mounting evidence for multiple long term issues for kids - immune deficits, cognition….
Yet certain paediatric practitioners continue to double down with their entrenched pathological minimiser biases at the expense of the long term welfare of kids and the whole community…….🤷🏻♂️

Watched ‘The Marvels’ with my kids. When I was growing up, only the baddies mentioned Allah or Islam onscreen. Now we get to see good guys praying to Allah, doing duas, speaking in Urdu. Representation matters. Treating Muslims as just normal folks matters. Thanks @MarvelStudios.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news during this holiday season, but the 14th Amendment will not stop Trump from coming down the chimney. The legal reasoning is good, but no judge is going to have the courage to do it.

An absolutely bonkers example of the bad-news bias (and a failure to take Econ 101) in econ reporting: The @WSJ observes that the price of metals used in electric vehicles are crashing, and somehow infers that it will create shortages and snarl adoption of EV's.
If the Guardian is the only paper to front page this then I can’t see how we can make it. People with influence need to urgently call out the Mail and The Sun and their suppression of the climate change reality - or the public will never demand what’s necessary. This situation is madness.
Yet another reason it would’ve been nice if House Dems in 2021-22, and Senate Dems in 2023 had taken any interest in exposing the Kushner-Trump foreign bribe machine. Instead they shrugged as Rs falsely convinced half the country the Bidens are the REAL global corruption family.
