@LewisvilleTexas@RepublicService @CWDisposal Does push schedule mean everyone is pushed back a day? We’re normally Tuesday but thought they were coming today due to this but no one came by…
@UNTtransit what’s gonna happen when we inevitably oversell permits or people don’t park in their given lot and faculty/staff still can’t find parking?! I’m all for opening more parking because it’s needed it but I’m not ok with paying more money and still not being able to park.
@thepointsguy Currently living in Bucharest and traveling some around Romania (Iasi, Sinaia, Timisoara, Constanta), then also hitting up Sofia, Rome, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Warsaw, Barcelona, Porto, and Madrid before moving back home to the states!
@thepointsguy 1) Was on a flight into Atlanta no more than two weeks ago that blew a tire upon landing and essentially crash landed. Had to run across the airport to catch my next international flight within 20 mins once we finally got bussed to the gate. 2) Hotel room broken into in Berlin.
@KeithLeventhal @JetTipNet @ATLairport@Delta@DFWAirport Yep, I didn’t even see any news trucks there for the entire time we were sitting on the runway or being bussed so they were all late to the shittiest party of the day.
Handful of @UNT_Honors and @UNT_COE students and former students presenting their projects at the @ncfr annual conference! @grantwheelerr @ewwwgrosss @alexadecarlo
@UNTnews@FulbrightPrgrm Just a heads up, I received a Fulbright last year and it was deferred until this year; you all may want to investigate if there are other situations like that from last year because I know we all put a lot of work/effort into receiving those awards and have not been recognized.
@UNTnews@UNTResearch We just had almost two dozen undergraduate students defend their thesis research projects through @UNT_Honors last week alone. We’re ready for more over the summer and into fall!!!
I want to make sure I’m not missing important updates.... where have y’all been sending these encouragements or reminders to test twice a month? I don’t think I’ve been receiving them or they’re buried in other places that aren’t visible. I didn’t know this was being recommended.
@ean_robertson @UNTPrez During this health crisis, we have shown that we can ensure social distancing and a safe environment in the classroom. We are still encouraging students, faculty, and staff who come to campus to test at least twice a month.
@nonbinarymood @UNTsocial And if not, know that you have supports at the university in the event that a professor is asking for something that seems impossible. Admins have recommended reaching out to department chairs after trying to connect with you professors if there is an issue.
@nonbinarymood @UNTsocial Not super helpful because it’s still so anxiety producing but there will (and has to be) some flexibility since the systems are down. I would recommend trying to get things done if you can (like if you had assignments ahead of time) just so it’s one less thing to worry about.
@nonbinarymood @UNTsocial We’ve been unable to email students (my.unt and Canvas have both been down or inconsistent) and they’re still working on a Canvas restore which may or may not be done by tomorrow. So physically, I doubt the restore will be up complete by then and deadlines will be pushed further.
@tarpwill@ntdaily Also, we as faculty still cannot access https://t.co/AQ59enhZAF to send out course emails so not sure when they’ll get that system up and running.
@tarpwill@ntdaily Canvas is back but they are basically doing a system restore so things make not be accurate yet and anything posted or submitted this week (if anyone had access) will probably be wiped out in the reset.
