@drpaulwinston I firmly believe these conversations need to start in the community. #WhatMattersToYou conversations inform goals of care. I try to capture this and upload to hospital. I remind patients they can change their mind at any time. My goal is to ensure they have agency

Today the Jewish Medical Association (#JMAO) sounded the alarm about #antisemitism in Healthcare
It held a press conference at Queen’s Park to release the results of a national survey of Jewish Doctors in Canada
The results are shocking!
Must-read🧵…
@drpaulwinston@JEVLloyd@AshleyGWinter Cdn MDs in practice have no family leave (have to arrange coverage for patient care and if they can’t, go back to work) and are only guaranteed 17 wks of income IF they get a locum. Physicians don’t have the same privileges of other workers. @CMA_Docs@FMWCanada @CWIMorg

Why Canada Post?
Because if you're in very rural areas good luck getting a private carrier to work - not profitable. That's why it's public and why it shouldn't be asked to turn a profit . We need it #SupportPostalWorkers
Invite us, hear us, train us and support us. These are the keys items to accelerate #interoperability.
@drkathleenross1 joins members of the Digital Health Interoperability Task Force at the @infoway Partnership Conference to discuss the results from its recommendation report.
A milestone worth celebrating: 49 women are set to serve in the #BCLeg 43rd Parliament, marking the first time in BC's history that more women than men will take their seat in the Legislative Chamber (also a first for a Canadian provincial legislature) #WomensHistoryMonth#BCpoli
Random thought on the #healthcare human #resource crisis:
I am starting to worry that no novel payment model will fix the damage caused by a decade of increasing tuition & living costs.
#MedEd impovrishes people. It really does.
Now THIS is an unnecessary visit. People should see a doctor if they feel it's required for **medical** reasons, not as some audit function of the company's HR policies
"If we can get rid of something that really has no medical benefit to anybody, but does add to the workload that family doctors are experiencing, that's a real win for all of us."
Watch Dr. @jossreimer on @CTVNews discuss the need to eliminate sick notes: https://t.co/DQT0fFPjVc
THIRTY percent of our 🇨🇦 medical system is already private (accessible only to those w insurance). Completely inane to bog down public system w admin of private system. Unfair to people without insurance, waste of time for everyone else, except for $$$corporations #BCDocsCare
The medical system should not be corporations' HR police.
Governments should protect our public healthcare system by prohibiting this abuse of the system.
People should only go see a doctor if they feel they need to for **medical** reasons.
@vancolour@fumano@JohnRustad4BC how are you going to make this right? It’s your time show your leadership and clearly define your next steps, regardless of the recount results. Your candidate’s comments are hateful, incorrect and unbecoming to serving her constituency.
@Sonjalovesbikes Absolutely. Provincial assistance tied to income reported on federal income tax compounds inequities. How does a cognitively disabled person submit taxes?
