Celebrating India's vibrant cultural heritage and diversity.
PM @narendramodi addressed the Bagurumba Dwhou 2026 event and witnessed an energetic performance of Bagrumba dance during his visit to Assam. In a stunning spectacle, over 10,000 artists moved in perfect synchronisation as they performed the enchanting Bagurumba 'butterfly dance' in Guwahati, celebrating the lively heritage of the Bodo community.
Inspired by nature and symbolising the inherent unity between humans and the natural world, the Bodo dance is a mesmerizing tribute to the heritage of Assam and the North-East and India's dynamic and diverse culture!
Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in Dhaka.
Our sincerest condolences to her family and all the people of Bangladesh. May the Almighty grant her family the fortitude to bear this tragic loss.
As the first woman Prime Minister of Bangladesh, her important contributions towards the development of Bangladesh, as well as India-Bangladesh relations, will always be remembered.
I recall my warm meeting with her in Dhaka in 2015. We hope that her vision and legacy will continue to guide our partnership.
May her soul rest in peace.
The Momentum of a Confident Nation.
