Africa CDC welcomes the arrival of emergency pharmaceutical supplies generously donated by the Government and people of India to support the ongoing response to the Bundibugyo #EbolaOutbreak in the DRC.
Received in Uganda by Africa CDC’s Eastern Africa RCC, the supplies include essential diagnostics, therapeutics, infection prevention and control materials, and case management support that will soon be deployed to affected communities in eastern DRC.
Africa CDC thanks the Government of India for its continued support and commitment to protecting lives and advancing health security across the continent.

A consignment of essential life-saving medicines has been dispatched to Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as humanitarian assistance from the Government of India, being transported onboard INS Trikand.
Founded in 1919 by the Indian-origin community, the hospital serves thousands of patients every year.
India reiterates its commitment in supporting the Global South and for the well-being of its diaspora communities aboard.

Following the widespread devastation caused by Tropical Cyclones Fytia and Gezani earlier this year, India dispatched humanitarian assistance to support ongoing relief efforts.
An Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft carrying 12 tonnes of medical aid and 18 tonnes of disaster relief material landed in Antananarivo.
The consignment includes life-saving medicines, surgical supplies, tents, water storage tanks, dignity kits, and ready-to-eat meals providing critical support to affected communities.

India stands in solidarity with Mozambique in the wake of the devastating floods impacting its central and southern provinces.
As part of its Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) efforts, India has mounted a multi-faceted response to support the people of Mozambique. This includes dispatch of 500 MT of rice as immediate food assistance, 10 MT of essential relief supplies such as tents, hygiene kits and rehabilitation support items, and 3 tonnes of critical medicines aboard an Indian Navy ship. In addition, 86 MT of life-saving medicines have already been delivered via the sea route.
India remains committed to extend multifaceted support - humanitarian, medical, and logistical - reaffirming its role as a trusted first responder and a steadfast partner in the Indian Ocean Region and Africa.

💠 Provided updates on the efforts being undertaken by Indian Embassies and Consulates to ensure the safety and welfare of Indian nationals in the region; and requested for the assistance of States/UTs in the dissemination of updated information and Advisories being issued regularly by Indian Embassies and Consulates.
💠 Outlined the steps being taken by Ministry of Civil Aviation, in close coordination with Indian Embassies and Consulates, to facilitate the return to India of stranded Indian passengers and those on short-term visits in the region, which had enabled the safe return of over 67,000 Indians since the start of the conflict on 28 February 2026.
💠 Responded to the requests and specific points raised by many Chief Secretaries, and took note of their further suggestions.
💠 Discussed steps to further strengthen the coordination with States/UTs through MEA’s Special Control Room, as well as through RPOs and MEA Branch Secretariats in India.
