No! Never buy small-cap passive funds, especially ETFs! If you want active mid/small cap exposure, use flexicap or multicap. For passive options, use Nifty Next 50, Nifty Midcap 150*, or Nifty LargeMidcap 250* or the best option, Nifty 500

I think it was a bad decision to come back to India. It's time to go back to the US.
There is nothing left in India for the GCs, especially males.
I don't want my 5 year old son to face the harsh realities of the reservation, acts and laws, when he grows up.
If one day, he asks me, why can't he get into the top IIT, but his SC/ST friend can, even with half his marks, and the same economic status, I will have no answer. I guess I will just have to say, it's because we don't care about merit, but representation.
If you ever get a chance to move abroad, do it. Don't think twice.
This is especially true if you are a General Category student, who competes on merit.
See reservation & all is not going away, irrespective of which political party comes to power.
As resources shrink, freebies will expand.
So don't pin your hopes on politics.
Your only legit defense is your hard-work & money that you make. You gotta create opportunities for yourself. The state will not do it for you.
First, become financially strong. Living abroad, allows you to attain financial freedom much faster.
Once that is done, you can always move back to India, if/when you like.
In mutual funds -
Your fund manager can buy and sell stocks without the fund paying STCG or LTCG.
The fund can receive dividends without paying income tax on them.
Most investors don't realise this.
Just confirmed: A trader who regularly posted screenshots of massive options profits on X has reportedly lost ₹50 crore after CAS was introduced.
P.S.: Don't believe everything posted on social media.
Do this and you’re already ahead of 99% of people.
• 10k steps
• Intermittent fasting or 3 protein-first meals (no grazing)
• 1g protein / kg ideal body weight
• 7 hours sound sleep
• Strength training 3–4x a week
The rest is noise.
If you want to avoid a heart attack at 60, you must train the systems that protect your arteries at 30.
Most people walk for fitness.
But walking alone doesn’t fully train the muscle, metabolic, and vascular systems that determine long-term heart attack risk.
Add these 5 evidence-backed habits:
1) Resistance training
Improves insulin sensitivity, lowers visceral fat, and helps control blood sugar, major drivers of coronary artery disease.
2) Zone 2 cardio
Improves mitochondrial efficiency, endurance, blood pressure, and vascular function.
3) Post-meal walking
Helps reduce postprandial glucose and triglyceride spikes that damage arteries over time.
4)Leg-strength training
Stronger lower-body muscle mass is associated with better metabolic health, mobility, and lower cardiovascular risk.
5) Sleep + sunlight routine
Circadian rhythm disruption increases insulin resistance, hypertension, and cardiovascular risk. Regular movement plus daylight exposure improves recovery and metabolic health.
Heart attacks rarely begin suddenly.
They develop silently through years of insulin resistance, inflammation, poor muscle health, and vascular damage.
Train your metabolism before disease trains your cardiologist.
Small caps get all the attention.
But midcaps have the better track record.
Look at the long-term numbers,
as of 31 Aug 2026.
20-year CAGR
✅Nifty Midcap 150: 16.0% 🔥
✅Nifty Smallcap 250: 13.8%
✅Nifty 500: 12.5%
✅Nifty 100: 12.1%
The gap looks small.
But over 20 years,
even 1% makes a big difference.
Midcaps have quietly compounded faster.
@BasuNivesh Being impatient is the biggest enemy in our long term wealth creation journey!
If an investor is well diversified across various asset classes, underperformance of a specific fund should not have any significant overall impact. Instead, they should use this fall & buy more.
An anxious mind sees problems everywhere.
A calm mind sees possibilities.
Anxiety narrows your attention:
“What could go wrong?”
Calmness widens it:
“What are my options?”
The situation may not have changed.
Your mind has.
And sometimes, the solution isn't to think harder.
It is to calm down enough to think clearly.

10/ So before saying,
“My SIP isn't working.”
Ask five questions:
✅Is my SIP enough?
✅Is the fund right for my goal?
✅Am I chasing returns?
✅Am I stopping during corrections?
✅Am I giving it enough time?
