Your god, Hayden, was once a man who lived on another planet and worshipped another god, etc. and etc. I think it is you, sir, who needs to consider entering this conversation. For your god is the slave of time. Temporality. Progression. He has no decree, has but limited power in a limited context, and hence has limited responsibility. He is not the ground of all being, the definer of truth and objective reality: he is the *product* of external forces and actions, just as we all are. So we cannot have a truly theistic discussion with you about the relationship of a sovereign God to human actions in time, because your god is not in that realm. He is just an exalted man himself.

Now, if you would like to dig into the biblical witness to God's decree and the existence and purpose of evil, let's start with the Biblical witness. I will provide a starting place and we can build up from there. I believe you would be aware that Jeff Durbin has already called for you and Jacob to engage he and I, and I haven't heard if you have responded to that as yet. But here's a good chance to do so out in public. Here's the starting place in Scripture:

This weekend is the 78th birthday of the UK's National Health Service - Britain's vaunted socialised medicine. I do not wish it many happy returns - in fact, the sooner it never returns, the better. It has been an unmitigated disaster, an untouchable idol and false god. Like all false gods it demands endless and ever increasing sacrifices whilst consistently providing some of the worst outcomes in avoidable deaths in the developed world. Whilst people are taxed into oblivion to fund this behemoth, the doctors and nurses are endlessly on strike with ever increasing demands, and fewer and fewer Brits can easily access a doctor or surgery in a timely fashion - all the while we are forced to fund murderous abortions on demand and sex-change surgeries.

The NHS is the defining institution of British socialism and welfarism and we will not be free of the crippling curse of socialism until the Dagon of the NHS is fallen. May it soon be shattered.
