Anti-#MDA5-positive #dermatomyositis (DM) patients are more likely to have skin or oral ulcers compared with other myositis-specific antibodies. They usually manifest as deep painful ulcers localized over Gottron's papules, involving the digital pulp and nail folds, or over Gottron's sign on the knees, elbows, or both. However, these skin ulcerations can also appear over photosensitive erythematous rash on the malar and mandibular areas.
