If the sky is grey, the mind is foggy, for only the light can illuminate a pathway to success. However, it never stays cloudy forever. Blossom in the moments of light to plant the seeds of tomorrow.

The issue is whether or not Disney is being underhanded in a pursuit of a workaround to utilizing traditional artistic creation. Fandom based concepts I do not see harm when it is done purely for amateur purposes. The line is crossed when it becomes a profitable venture for the studio and phases out the multilayer human development.

Based on what I saw yesterday, the intent is definitely there to suggest a more intimate relationship between Judy and Nick. I may have to eat my words about the two never becoming romantic.

Ah yes, after almost ten full years we finally see a the sequel to our beloved anthropomorphic characters Judy and Nick. Talk about letting the grass grow beneath your feet, er paws 🤷.

I sense the overall delay in producing a sequel came from two major factors.

First factor involves the dastardly Covid pandemic. This was a major stall for Hollywood, much like it's impact on the rest of our economy.

Second factor involves the controversy over Disney and perceived 'woke' elements becoming a blemish to their animation department influenced by political posturing. Disney's blockbuster hits have waned over this controversy. Hence my feelings of why Hollywood and politics should not mingle. And for the record, I personally don't mind a little injection of addressing inequalities in society. It is the length you devote plot time which becomes an issue.

I digress.

Zootopia 2 brings a new chapter in animated character development influenced by a massive subculture Fandom.

The initial start of the movie is a fast paced refresher course on where we came from in this evolving franchise. Subsequent progression begins to set the table for our primary plot lines being addressed. Yes, I said lines. Two paths that guide the emotions of the moviegoer keep boredom at bay.

At times the movie does hint at something more of a romantic comedy, only to be shadowed by the secondary plot point.

For those who are hoping we see our furry duo finally become something more than partners, just be patient with the screenwriters.

As we explore the reptilian species in the movie as it relates to mammalian species, it becomes clear the societal struggle is gentrification. Kudos to the writers on this, as my original assumption on the moral message was proven inaccurate.

This is where elements of the movie became darker than the first, with a stronger intensity level not suitable for very young audiences. We finally do see a reference to death in the movie, multiple times.

By no means is this a critical shot at the screenwriters. It is intended only as a cautionary PSA to parents who may find it challenging to discern the movie for a young mind.

With this intensity element being far greater than the first movie, it brings about stronger empathetic emotions and parallels modern struggles. Be prepared to pull out the tissues for those who become strongly attached to movies emotionally.

One thing I will point out as being cliché is a character shift from friend to adversary. I read this early on in the movie and was given a fairly dull confirmation much to my early anticipation. Some elements of the confirmation turned the intensity level up to attempt at covering for the premature perception, but with little reconciliation. If I am to find a criticism angle, this is it. A recycled plot twist seen in a vast majority of movies screams the need for a new twist element. I cannot speak for what that may be at this point, but Hollywood should take note. When some in the audience can foresee a plot twist within the first 20 minutes of the movie, it kind of dries up enthusiasm.

That all said, overall the movie checked the boxes for being an adequate sequel in a maturing movie franchise.

And for the love of GOD fans, don't leave the theater before the end credits are over, like everyone did when I saw the movie. Foreshadowing is a good lure to keep a fan base excited.

@AnimatedViews This is a load of crap. While I found the movie to be more intense, especially for a young audience, it certainly does not smell of AI GENERATED. Y'all have zero clue what AI generated is.

Good movie. Do not take kids under 10 to see it unless they already operate on a higher maturity level. Intense elements in the movie including alluding to death.

Overall, good job Jared Bush and Bryon Howard.

@JustineBateman Common sense has solidified as a generational handicap destroying our younger generations, rooted directly in a misguided sense of jealousy for success. In the end, it beckons the most dangerous human condition, power through oppression.

There is also cautious optimism from those skeptical of Disney's flops lately

Personally, I feel this movie will be one of the biggest tests of Disney Animation Studios given a recent slue of stinkers.

Jared Bush seems to be a huge change in direction for Disney to which his direct screenwriting has given Disney new life.

Bottom line, I see Disney is attempting to return back to its successful roots. And it all starts with remembering Walt's vision.

@JustineBateman The lack of creativity is parallel to a lack of decent screenwriters. The art of creativity today is reaching into the recycling bin and pulling something out. Very few franchises are inherently successful with long term sustainability. Originality is on life support.
