Salute to the brave telecommunications heroes in Gaza — they restored the internet line amidst heavy bombing, risking their own lives. They brought our voices back from the heart of a silent genocide 📡💔
The only problem with Andor is how it changes your perception of other Star Wars stories. No, I'm not talking about tone. I love the Droid episodes in the Clone Wars, I love Rebels, I love Star Wars at its most mythological and goofy.
This is purely a quality thing.
Why do both fights that were teased to be the 'fights of the ages' in Kenobi have to take place on two of the most visually dull planets in all of Star Wars? Why is the visual language of all other live-action content so dull in general? Why is the writing of a series surrounding Boba Fett, one of the franchise's most popular characters, so utterly bad that people no longer have interest in it, why is the main character not present for two entire episodes of his own series?
Why was the most important trilogy of films to ever come out rushed in a way that made people gradually lose their affection for the franchise movie by movie? Why is every other project they put out held down by the 8 episodes format that never allows for stories to take their time to unfold?
Modern Star Wars has so many problems and year after year, they become harder to overlook. Andor's brilliance is not a distraction from that, but a reminder how good Star Wars stories could be with real time and effort put into them.
