I’m trying to pursue justice by listening to humans & using data to guide decision making . Director of MA Homeless Youth Services. Views here are my own.
"all of these numbers represent young people, and anytime someone is sleeping outside when they don't want to be, that is a problem, whether there is one young person or 5,000..." -me - Hidden in Plain Sight: Understanding Youth Homelessness https://t.co/YCQ2Kq9RSn via @YouTube
Cold weather is here. Every young person deserves a safe place to stay. Help connect youth and young adults in Massachusetts to shelter and support: https://t.co/5p8JIhRdDH
Massachusetts Youth Count 2024 is here! If you are under the age of 25 and are unstably housed or experiencing homelessness, please take the Youth Count survey between 4/1-4/30. Access the survey in one of five languages here: https://t.co/E9vnvEVCyu
https://t.co/P5eoUJPnG7 I really do believe we can prevent & end youth homelessness. I was on NPR's 1A this morning along with Bryan Samuels from @Chapin_Hall discussing the great programs happening out of MA Homeless Youth Services. Have a listen!
@ctrupin Oh yeah, for the financial investment in preventing and ending youth homelessness, WA is superior and I am insanely jealous. I especially love & am inspired by the resources towards behavioral health supports.
Did you know 1/3 youth experiencing homelessness in MA are couch-surfing? You're not alone. Find the resources you need. https://t.co/fItTQ5t3P4 via @YouTube
@blittle86 I sat with a young woman shackled to the bed, even though she was unresponsive and at the end of her life after suffering a brain injury. Her family and I pleaded to have them removed, so she could die with dignity. They didn't allow it.
@1marcythompson We also desperately need providers to adopt a culture of harm reduction. Without this, we won't really have housing first and won't be able to serve folks in the greatest need.
Excited to launch this first-in-the-nation statewide youth homelessness awareness and connection campaign! If you are looking for help and resources for yourself a friend or a youth you're connected to please, visit https://t.co/RZurdprNYC or call 211. https://t.co/bierxtOqlk
Housing justice is a racial & social justice issue.
As Chairwoman @RepMaxineWaters reminds us, we can end homelessness in America for the cost of one aircraft carrier. It’s past time our gov't invests in affirming housing as the human right that it is.

I will always advocate for proper use of data and serving the most vulnerable. Always. Proper use of data is one of my love languages to #endYouthHomelessness
