This provides an opportunity for the industry to work together with government to address the national housing emergency and ensure all aspects of the housing market are functioning more effectively.

We have published an industry statement expressing support for Government’s steps to tackle the constraints of housing delivery, whilst acknowledging the wider challenges affecting housing supply today, including:

🔹Nutrient neutrality restrictions
🔹Lack of affordable mortgage finance
🔹Lack of capacity in the housing association sector
🔹And the increasing skills gap and labour shortage

The statement has been jointly signed by more than 30 home builders.
