In August last year, she was appointed Director General Health Services of Delhi. She wasted no time and immediately started buying medicines and equipments at highly inflated rates by allegedly manipulating the tender processes, misusing hundreds of crores in public funds. By the time the Delhi police arrested her today, she had already allegedly created a health scam worth 600 crores.
Almost everyone in govt service, from top to bottom, seems to make massive money whenever an opportunity arises. Imagine the scale of systemic corruption if a single official can siphon off 600 crore rupees in less than a year. इनका जन्म 1978 में देहरादून में हुआ था।
सिर्फ 21 साल की उम्र में इन्होंने पहले ही प्रयास में UPSC Civil Services Exam पास किया और All India Rank 10 हासिल की।
वो अपने बैच की सबसे युवा IAS अधिकारियों में शामिल थीं।
उनका नाम लिम्का बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड्स में भी दर्ज हुआ।
कहा जाता है कि इंटरव्यू के दौरान उन्होंने कहा था कि वो अपना पूरा करियर “सबसे गरीब लोगों” के लिए काम करने में लगाना चाहती हैं।
साल 2000 में उन्हें नवगठित झारखंड कैडर मिला।
धीरे-धीरे वो सिस्टम में ऊपर बढ़ती गईं।
2022 तक वो झारखंड की Mining Secretary बन चुकी थीं।
एक खनिज संपन्न राज्य में यह बेहद ताकतवर पद माना जाता है।
6 मई 2022 को Enforcement Directorate (ED) ने झारखंड, बिहार, पश्चिम बंगाल, दिल्ली और पंजाब में उनसे जुड़े 18 ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की।
रांची में उनके Chartered Accountant सुमन कुमार के ठिकाने से ₹17.49 करोड़ नकद बरामद हुआ।
इतना पैसा गिनने के लिए नोट गिनने वाली मशीनें मंगानी पड़ीं।
कुल बरामदगी लगभग ₹19.31 करोड़ बताई गई।
11 मई 2022 को पूजा सिंघल गिरफ्तार कर ली गईं।
बाद में ED ने कथित मनी ट्रेल को खूंटी जिले से जोड़ा, जहां वो 2008 से 2011 के बीच Deputy Commissioner रह चुकी थीं।
ED का आरोप था कि उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान MGNREGA फंड से जुड़े ₹18.06 करोड़ का गबन हुआ।
MGNREGA वही सरकारी योजना है जो ग्रामीण गरीब परिवारों को हर साल 100 दिन का रोजगार देने की गारंटी देती है।
यानी “सबसे गरीब लोगों” के लिए बना पैसा।
ED ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि मामले से जुड़े कुछ पैसे उनके पति से जुड़े एक अस्पताल में लगाए गए।
बाद में एजेंसी ने रांची में उनसे जुड़ी ₹82.77 करोड़ की अचल संपत्तियां भी अस्थायी रूप से अटैच कीं।
अगस्त 2022 में उनकी जमानत PMLA कोर्ट ने खारिज कर दी।
नवंबर 2022 में झारखंड हाई कोर्ट ने भी राहत देने से इनकार किया।
अप्रैल 2024 में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भी उनकी जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी।
सुनवाई के दौरान सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इसे “extraordinary case” बताया और कहा कि “कुछ बहुत गंभीर रूप से गलत हुआ है।”
उन्होंने लगभग 28 महीने जेल में बिताए।
7 दिसंबर 2024 को एक विशेष PMLA कोर्ट ने उन्हें जमानत दे दी।
उसी दिन झारखंड सरकार ने उनका निलंबन वापस लेते हुए उन्हें बहाल भी कर दिया।
ED ने उनकी बहाली का विरोध किया, लेकिन PMLA कोर्ट ने कहा कि किसी सरकारी पोस्टिंग पर रोक लगाना अदालत के अधिकार क्षेत्र में नहीं आता।
मामले की जांच और ट्रायल आज भी जारी है।
21 साल की उम्र में उन्होंने UPSC बोर्ड से कहा था कि वो “सबसे गरीब लोगों” के लिए काम करना चाहती हैं।
ED के अनुसार जिन पैसों के गबन का आरोप है, वो पैसा उन्हीं गरीब लोगों के लिए था।
ऐसी कहानियां याद रखनी चाहिए।

A 15 year old boy named Gopal Sharma was kidnapped and brutally murdered in Jewar, Greater Noida.
His eyes were gouged out, his private parts were mutilated, his face was urinated upon, and nails were hammered into his fingers.

81-year-old grandmother Ava Estelle was absolutely furious when she learned that two thugs had raped her 18-year-old granddaughter.
She tracked down the unsuspecting ex-convicts… and shot off their testicles.
“This elderly woman spent a week hunting those men down, and when she found them, she took revenge in her own way,” said Melbourne police investigator Evan Delp.
Then she took a taxi to the nearest police station, placed the pistol on the sergeant’s desk, and calmly said:
“These bastards will never rape anyone again, by God.”
Police say convicted rapist and robber Davis Furth, 33, lost both his penis and testicles when the enraged Ava opened fire with a 9mm pistol inside the hotel room where he and his former cellmate Stanley Thomas, 29, had been hiding.
The vigilante grandmother also shot Thomas in the groin, though doctors reportedly managed to save his mutilated penis.
“Thomas technically didn’t lose his manhood,” Detective Delp told reporters, “but according to the doctor I spoke with, he won’t be using it the way he used to.”
“Both men are still in pretty bad shape, but I think they’re just happy to be alive after what happened.”
“Grandma Rambo” began hunting the attackers on August 21 after her granddaughter Debbie was abducted and raped in broad daylight by two knife-wielding criminals.
“When I saw the look on Debbie’s face that night in the hospital, I decided I would punish those bastards myself because I thought the law had become too soft,” recalled the former librarian.
“I wasn’t afraid of them — because I have a gun, and I’ve been shooting all my life. And I’m no fool; I didn’t turn it in when the gun laws changed.”
Using police sketches and her granddaughter Debbie’s description of the attackers, Ava spent seven days wandering through the district where the crime occurred until she spotted the rapists entering a cheap hotel where they were staying.
“I knew it was them the moment I saw them, but I still took photos and went back to Debbie, and she said, ‘Damn right, that’s them,’” the grandmother recalled.
“So I went back to that hotel, found their room, knocked on the door, and as soon as the tall one opened it, I shot him right between the legs — right where it would hurt the most.
Then I walked in and shot the other one while he backed away begging me to spare him.
After that, I went straight to the police station and turned myself in.”
Now bewildered law enforcement officials are trying to decide what to do with the vigilante grandmother.
“What she did was wrong, and she broke the law, but it’s hard to throw an 81-year-old woman in prison,” Delp said.
“Especially when three million people in the city want to elect her mayor.”
