I regularly discuss treatments in pregnancy, some whose risk/benefit is uncertain, frequently prescribed. I’m certain C19 vaccines should be given in pregnancy. Risk/benefit far clearer. Advice not so frequently followed. We are seeing devastating outcomes in the unvaccinated.
A UK study has shown C-section at full dilatation nearly doubles the risk of pre-term delivery in a future pregnancy. A C-section in early labour, or before labour, meanwhile, increases the subsequent risk of a medically-indicated preterm delivery.
