It was a real honor this week to meet and speak with acting U.S. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling and his team at USDOL
My heart was so full of joy when the director of the Office of Labor-Management Standards told the whole room that my “Freelance Busting” Substack is a great one to read
And when USDOL’s chief economist recognized me as the advocate fighting for independent contractors nationwide 😊

110 years ago today a group of brave people hung up a proclaimation of independence across Dublin City and took over the GPO. 💚🤍🧡
Alongside it was Irelands first ever radio broadcast. A message was sent in morse code, written by James Connolly to broadcast the rebels message to the world.
This message was the first "pirate" radio broadcast in the world. We've always liked pirates - our most famous one was Gráinne Mhaol but that's another story.
Today we remember those brave rebels who took on an empire.
Inspired by the Fenians who came before them the Irish Republican Brotherhood.
They were influenced by the literary and cultural revival and the 'Fenian Cycle' of Irish mythology...modern successors to the Na Fianna Warriors.
110 years ago today the spirit of resistance rose again having been kept alive by Fenians for centuries. 💚🤍🧡
