@PattiWebbb@egcurtismd I am assuming this original tweet comes from the US - having trained in Canada and only worked in the US, I can definitely say people are much more ignorant south of the border
@egcurtismd Maybe I should start introducing myself as Dr. Goldstein the orthopedic spine surgeon to whom you have been referred. Then they will stop asking me “do you actually do the surgery?”
@mcsassymd That’s so awesome 👏 That feeling never goes away too. Even if you can’t help them, being trusted to listen and do what you can is such a gift
@drericksonspine 24?!?! Girl you do not look old enough 😊 How awesome. I have a girls’ day with my 7 year old “step daughter” today, nails and lunch out. So excited ❤️
@leonardogdlima I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how painful that must be. I pray that your memories, friends and family will help get you through this

That’s right everyone, my secret is out - 15 years of postgraduate education (not to mention the five it took to get a Master of Public Health degree while working full time) so that one day I could “get more money” from the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people
@LaurenJOConnell Congratulations! It is such a hard decision but if it feels right it is right. I left full time academic medicine after 5 years and a serious case of burnout to take an academic appointment with a practice I. A community hospital...no trauma...no call. Best...decision...ever!
@JudyWelshMD And don’t say “I’d appreciate it if” or could you” or “would you mind” ...that gives them an opportunity to consider not making the change. We women do that all the time when, if we were a man, we would just say “please change my name to Dr. Welsh” and leave it at that!
