Bo Davidson just became the first Giant since 1931 to have a hit, stolen base and run scored in their big league debut.
3 years ago Davidson was playing in community college. He didn’t have any offers out of high school, played for 2 community colleges and took a year off in between due to a family matter, he went undrafted before being discovered by a Giants scout and signed to a minor league contract. Never give up on your dreams kids. #sfgiants @NBCSGiants
Kicking off my fall ball slate with @CharlotteBSB vs @DiamondHeels here in Chapel Hill. Heels look awesome early, loads of quality ABs and hard contact on offense. And transfer Jimmy Voorhies is dealing - 92-94 with command, knockout splitty and a kick change. 5 K thru 3 IP.
ANATOMY OF A DELAY PICK @ 3B
1) Momentum game changer.
2) Low risk especially with a LHH if you practice it.
3) Based on base runner relaxing & taking his eyes off the catcher assuming he is going to throw the ball back to the pitcher when he sees him going to his knees.
4) Throw must be directed up & into fair territory so as not to hit the runner or have the 3B screened out by the runner.
5) Third baseman positions closer to 3B so can casually move to 3B to receive the throw so you don’t alert the 3B coach.
IMO THIS IS TRULY A LOW RISK PLAY. IF YOU ARE A SAFETY 1ST LOW/NO RISK PLAYER OR COACH, THIS IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU. KNOW THAT YOU ARE PASSING UP AN OPPORTUNITY TO AFFECT THE MOMENTUM & OUTCOME OF A GAME.
9M people will go to MLB games in SoCal, Giants, Mariners in top half of MLB in attendance. Dbacks around the midpoint.
There’s a reason why southern schools kill it at the gate in ways where west coast teams can’t compete financially.
Zane Worth - 2027 LHH SS @ Monte Vista HS in Danville, CA. Extremely high motor. Z is a pest on the bases, runs the infield and plays with energy. Always hunting for the extra 90 feet. "Ballplayer" is the term that comes to mind. 6.6/6.7 runner, Football guy/running back, athlete with twitchy actions up the middle.

Just want to emphasize 1 more time before the end of the college baseball season
RPI 24 wins the CWS
RPI 28 gets told they aren’t good enough to make the field of 64 and then they lose all of their players to the transfer portal to P4 programs
Congrats to Jimmy Voorhies on his commitment to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! The Tar Heels are getting a dude and one of the top freshman arms in the country. Fired up for this opportunity for Jimmy and the Voorhies family!
Jimmy V is one of the good ones... does things the right way, humble, operates with integrity, and the dude can flat out pitch. And he's only been on the mound for a year and a half... the ceiling is very high.
@jam8svoorhies @DiamondHeels
Topps of Clovis' Genaro Villarreal (@GV23baseball) led his team to victory with his performance on the mound today. He fired 5 innings, striking out 6, and only allowed one run with his four pitch mix.

The most valuable position players from the NorCal ⚾️ Class of 2026, ranked by their career Offensive WAR (varsity seasons only). Again, I'd put this group up against any region in America!
Every west coast team that could’ve made a regional final this year.
USC was disrespected, top 10 RPI and didn’t host. They went to A&M and won the regional.
ASU was a 3 seed and got to the Lincoln Regional final.
UCSB was a 2 seed and got to the Austin Regional final.
Cal Poly, a 3 seed swept the LA Regional.
Oregon swept through their regional.
We should’ve had another LA regional and a Corvallis regional.
All year, I’ve been saying that the west is as good as it’s been in years; however, it’ll be tough to get more than 2 teams to Omaha because they’ll not give credit to the mid majors and they’ll lump everyone together. That’s what the committee did.
UCLA swept TCU and the SEC teams they played this year but California mid majors were their kryptonite all year.
All west coast college baseball fans want is the ability to not beat up on each other and actually have a chance to get as many teams as possible to Omaha.
Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.
They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.
France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend
Cal Poly not a 4 seed, but St. Mary’s an extremely dangerous 4. I would’ve thought the committee might actually give the top overall seed a break. This is where geographically placing teams always screws over west coast teams.

Anything north of 3 WAR for pitching or offensive, or 5 WAR for combined, is elite production.
One of the Bay’s brightest stars🌟
4-Star Landon Miller is as talented and as feared in the middle of the Spartan defense
