This week’s story in Ohio—echoing results in Arizona and Florida—was published on the exact same day that legislators in Texas were hearing empty promises from the voucher lobby that these schemes aren’t be a wealthy cash grab

As legislative chair for USA/KSSA for the past several years, I am appreciate the work of the committee in creating a completely new format. Easy to follow and, IMO, hard to argue with. This is in our latest digital magazine issue. #ksleg#ksed#EducationMatters
Voucher fraud is headed for Ks in 2025. #ksed, ask your #ksleg candidates where they stand on vouchers. Tip: ESA, "tuition scolarship," they're all vouchers. 💄🐷
Not very often you get to see one of your employees be recognized with a major award AND get to walk out onto the Sporting KC field to take a celebratory photo! Keep on keepin’ on Hailey Nicole Collins!
My mom passed away June 15, 2018. I found this card in the console of my truck a few months later. It’s a Mother’s Day card I bought to give to her in May. I kept meaning to run over and see her, but I was just ‘too busy’. I know what that card would have meant to my mom, and she never got to read it, because I was ‘too busy’.
Take the time to do the things you’ve put off because you’re ‘too busy’. We don’t get more time, this is our chance. When it comes to family and close friends, take the words ‘too busy’ out of your vocabulary. This card sits beside my turntable as a reminder that I’m never ‘too busy’ for those I love.
$3.4m is the special education cost for Coffeyville Public Schools @USD445, transferring $1.1m out of our general fund to cover the shortfall. #FullyFundSPED

I don't walk away to teach people a lesson. I walk away because I learned mine. I'd rather adjust my life to someone’s absence than adjust my boundaries to accommodate their disrespect. Unknown author, but wise quote.
“The tests are not measuring how much students learned or can learn. They are predominately measuring the family and community capital of the student.”
But let’s attach funding and accreditation to performance on these tests, right? 🥴🥴
