@bl_ag_inc If seed wheat(worried about germ) I suggest keeping grain temps under 110. Preferably closer to 105. Wheat is very easy to dry but the lower temps/slower discharge is highly suggest to keep a more consistent moisture once cooled down.
@Bkitch1Bodie Also- I would highly suggest putting them out of flow of unloading/loading grain. Put them close to control room/office but not “inline” with pit. Just incase later on you end up with two unload spots your scales aren’t blocked waiting on a truck to unload/load
@Bkitch1Bodie Have both scales setup to with the FarmWeigh program & absolutely love it. Ability to check seed tender scales, nh3 tanks, as well as weigh each load of LP, NH3, UAN, fert, etc coming in/out helps with piece of mind knowing what’s on hand. They are high, but worth the $ IMO
@Bkitch1Bodie Team truck scales here. Takes the worry out. I see you’re in Indiana & would highly suggest giving Southern Illinois Scales a call. They installed new Fairbanks on farm 15 years ago and have had zero trouble. They also helped me find a used set of RiceLakes for seed business
@LowBoomLowDrift Norwood st933 filling n540c, normally back up to conveyor as in video. Leave it up just enough top of tank touches spout. But reach is plenty for a TBT to drive under conveyor parallel to Norwood, fill, then back out.
@Cornfrmr 3” pump/Venturi with two separate scale decks for 4 totes. 1600gal sprayer fill with 240# atrazine, 72gal Halex, surf, insecticide. Out of cab average of 10mins and never get off the trailer.
@TandTAg Not sure of brand but the newer magnetic ones kinze is using are wonderful. Mount on backing plate and “see” parallel arm. Most reliable height switch I’ve used yet
@Pol_Incorrect_B@JohnDeere Never have planted oats but years of planting 180-220lb of treated wheat key is even and ALOT of talc. And slowing down to 4.5-5mph. Literally won’t fall out of the hoppers fast enough for 200+ at 5mph. Betting oats at 180lb would be similar to high rates wheat
@alexjewellWC @SamBodenus How would we know? I think its the largest technology lacking area in modern ag. We can plant/fertilize/spray within inches of a target. Yet as Sam said average at harvest. A 6row header is double the accuracy as a 12rows data, yet still 6times less of what i thinks possible
