Cross-contamination played a large role in our study. About 50% of participants contaminated their spice containers due to improper hand washing. Remember to wash surfaces & hands with warm soapy water before & after handling raw foods to prevent cross-contamination.
@hannahrimes2 I think it has a lot to do with terior. Regional tastes and specialties are highly prized and regulated in Europe compared to the U.S. Traditionally the U.S. prioritized standardization of food & flavor rather than celebrating regional differences.
