FTNT - up 130% year to date. Earnings good but not perfect. Might be a good time to buy the pullback. Down over 20% right now looks like beginning stages of a reverse hammer.
One of the hardest lessons I've learned in over 20 years of trading:
You must be willing to stay out of the market for weeks or even months.
Look at this chart of the Nasdaq since 2019. Notice how often the market goes through sideways periods, choppy uptrends, corrections, and bear markets.
As a swing or position trader, I don't want to participate in all of them.
I want to be aggressive when the market is strong and opportunities are plentiful. But when conditions deteriorate, I become extremely selective, stop opening new positions, and let my individual sell rules determine when to exit existing holdings.
Why is this so difficult?
Because there are ALWAYS stocks moving higher. Even in terrible markets.
You see those stocks, feel you're missing opportunities, and convince yourself that you need to keep trading to make money.
I've experienced this myself. In 2026, I made very good profits in April and May, but gave back some of those gains during the choppier months that followed.
The reality is that the general market is a huge part of your trading edge. Even the best setups become much harder to trade when conditions are unfavorable.
I believe one of the biggest changes you can make is to stop defining yourself as a trader by how often you trade.
A disciplined trader doesn't need constant action. A disciplined trader waits until the probabilities are in their favor.
The ability to sit in cash for weeks or months is what separates disciplined traders from those who constantly struggle.
You don't get paid for being active. You get paid for making good decisions.
INSM up on earnings. CTSH looks like it's going to reverse back up. CROX has a nice earnings day. reporting tonight TWLO, AMZN, DXCM. Surprisingly improvements in LEN and RKT. Maybe rates will be coming down. Who can tell.
Holy SMOKES…
A natural soil bacteria combo just COMPLETELY ERADICATED tumors across MULTIPLE human cancer types in 100% of mice.
COLORECTAL CANCER: 100% ELIMINATED
OVARIAN CANCER: 100% ELIMINATED
PANCREATIC CANCER: 100% ELIMINATED
Two IV doses of a highly synergistic bacterial combination—Proteus mirabilis and Rhodopseudomonas palustris—eliminated every single tumor in the treated mice.
Proteus mirabilis (A-gyo) acts as the primary TUMOR DESTROYER, invading cancer tissue, disrupting tumor blood vessels, and triggering massive cancer-cell death.
Rhodopseudomonas palustris (UN-gyo) suppresses A-gyo’s potentially harmful biological activity while promoting its transformation into tumor-penetrating forms.
Together, they achieved COMPLETE tumor regression with NO observable systemic toxicity at the tested therapeutic dose.
Further research is urgently needed as cancer rates continue to climb.
My fervent trading prayer:
"Lord, please let Anthropic have options when it first opens for trading. This will be the biggest RF we've seen in a long time and I'm looking forward to capitalizing on the carnage.
Thanks in advance!"
What happens if you pick the top winner over the last six months and put 10% into it and go 90% cash. What if you do 20% and 80%. Here are the results.
Surprisingly, having more names didn't actually help the returns. It's all about the one winner. Not much else for this test.
@ConnorJBates_ In my backtests, if you have to go to staples, you might as well just go to cash because returns were so dismal. However, some of these show it has been good for a while. Last time CL had a big run and then died off about the time I was thinking about buying it.
TNA - IWM - this down wave is a little more drawn out but you can see here they are all nearly equal in depth. Maybe the downside is close to over here.
What is trending
Crude and the broader Energy sector continue to lead the market, demonstrating superior relative strength over the past month and year-to-date, a trend that persists even as tech experiences volatility. Staples, Healthcare, and Utilities also show strong one-month performance, indicating a defensive rotation in parts of the market. Within the tech landscape, certain microsectors are still showing leadership. E-commerce/marketplaces, SaaS/enterprise software, Fintech/payments, and AI software monetization are emerging or leading, with names like SHOP, TEAM, MA, and PLTR at the forefront. However, several AI-related hardware and infrastructure microsectors, including AI equipment/packaging, memory/HBM, networking/fiber, power/cooling, and compute, are currently lagging, reflecting a more discerning environment for AI investments.
MRP - Millrose Properties - What do you do when not enough people want to buy real estate at high prices? To keep your sales and comparables up, you start a subsidiary to go out and purchase your excess inventory. MRP was started by huge home builder Lennar - LEN. They also buy and hold huge tracts of land for Lennar and it probably keeps Lennar's accounting looking good.
