An excellent article on saying no. It's both healthy and necessary. We should recognise that yes/no is a spectrum, and the best no leaves the asker feeling like they got a yes. Three techniques for saying no effectively:
1) The "yes no": where we say yes to the need, but no to the ask.
2) The "material no": where we don't actually say no, but say yes with a reasonable materials list.
3) The "priority no": where we turn the request into a leadership conversation about what’s most important.
