Those were the words spoken in a 1 am call to a friend by Peter Obi.

Within those words there are deep meanings of character, of a childlike glee in doing the right thing.
A call placed at 1 am means that PO was up all day and all night clawing back money from the grasp of greedy and wasteful people.
That call filled PO with a great sense of elation so satisfying that it could not wait till morning to be shared.
The fact that he said “today” meant that it was not a one of thing he did. Oh no, it meant that he did it with a religious frequency but that day’s savings were so big it needed to be shared and couldn’t wait.
Compare that with people who are excited by sharing £9k (₦18million) bottles of whiskey with glutinous friends. Or who dump ₦25 billion in an unnecessary VP house at a time when people are struggling. Or a yacht or another new plane or … the damn list is endless.
Or ₦7trn worth of padding in the budget! 7 Trillion folks! Trillion! Unconscionable! Diabolical!

Nigeria remains a relentless scene of corruption.

I have consistently maintained that for this country to make progress, Nigeria must cease to function as a crime scene and be repositioned for genuine development.

This entrenched corruption - persistent and deeply rooted - must be nipped in the bud if there is to be any meaningful turnaround.

How else can we explain the distressing revelations by BudgIT, which uncovered a staggering ₦7 trillion in questionable projects inserted into the 2025 national budget? I am convinced that this figure represents only a fraction of the actual amount misappropriated. These findings are deeply troubling and confirm my long-held position that we have turned our country into a crime scene. We must urgently and aggressively combat corruption, misappropriation, and fiscal recklessness in order to manage our resources effectively and efficiently, and invest in critical areas of development: health, education, and lifting our people out of poverty.

The ₦7 trillion uncovered as fraudulently inserted into the 2025 budget is even greater than the combined allocations to the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, and the Ministry of Agriculture - ministries that are fundamental to national development.

To be precise:
•The Ministry of Education was allocated ₦3.52 trillion,
•The Ministry of Health received ₦2.48 trillion,
•The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation was allocated ₦260 billion, and
•The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security received ₦636.08 billion.

Combined, these four ministries were allocated ₦6.896 trillion—an already inflated amount—yet still less than the ₦7 trillion dubiously inserted into the budget.

That ₦7 trillion figure is even more than the ₦6.1 trillion allocated to national security—at a time when Nigeria is among the most terrorised nations in the world.

This brazen impunity by our leaders is precisely why the country cannot invest adequately in education—hence the existence of nearly 20 million out-of-school children. It is the same corruption that has crippled primary healthcare, resulting in alarming levels of malnourished children. We face widespread hunger, yet our leaders neglect agricultural investment due to persistent mismanagement and lack of accountability. The same disregard affects our capacity to fund national security effectively, or to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which are vital to national growth.

These glaring acts of corruption reinforce my position: Nigeria has been reduced to a crime scene.

We must confront this corruption, misappropriation, and fiscal recklessness with unwavering resolve. Our national resources must be transparently managed and strategically invested in key sectors—health, education, and poverty alleviation—to secure a better future for our people. We must turn this nation around.

In furtherance of my commitment to help in building a future society rooted in good Health and Education, I visited three Educational and Health institutions today and made varying donations totaling N70m in support of these institutions.

Firstly, I had the honour of participating in the commencement of the new Shanahan University in Onitsha, which was launched today.

I spoke to the students about the importance of prioritizing their education, as it remains the surest path to success. In support of the university,

I made a token donation of N50 million towards the infrastructural development of the institution.

From Shanahan University, we proceeded to Waterside Midwifery, Onitsha, where I made an additional donation of N10 million to support their progress and improve the quality of training for personnel who are crucial in reducing Nigeria’s unacceptable levels of infant mortality.

My next stop was the Borromeo School of Nursing Sciences, Onitsha, where I reaffirmed my belief in the vital role that nursing schools play in our healthcare system.

To further this cause, I donated another N10 million to assist in their continued efforts.

Continuing with my unwavering commitment to advancing health and education, my upcoming visits to Anambra State will be to the University of the Niger and Iyienu College of Nursing Sciences.

We must build our society by improving measurable indices of development.

A new Nigeria is POssible is possible through greater education and enlightenment. -PO

The North did not stop anybody from protesting against Buhari's clear and obvious misrule. In fact, as I recall, the loudest and most insufferable defenders of all things Buhari were the loudmouths from Lagos who thought that their purpose in life was to get their Ikoyi golden calf into Aso Rock, whereupon they would get their turn with the prom queen at the apparent expense of the southeast (which per the rotational principle, was supposed to produce the president in 2023).

The fact that the North has decided against returning the favour by dying of Tinubu's (even worse) misrule simply means that the political consciousness of the North is superior to that of the idiots in Lagos and the southwest. It means that they are smart enough to only tolerate misrule 50% of the time, while the idiots in the southwest will accept it 100% of the time. It means that the Northern political establishment will accept misrule where they directly benefit from it, and will oppose it where they don't, while the generational blockheads in Lagos will vote for and cheerfully endure all kinds of misrule on credit.

To protect Buhari because of their golden calf's 2023 plan, these idiots even enabled a massacre of civilian protesters in Lagos and went around saying, "Where are the bodies?" At least we know for a fact that no northerner alive or dead would have watched a southern president shoot 100 unarmed, peaceful northern civilian protesters dead in the middle of Kano, and said nothing about it because of an election. That means the North has a basic sense of pride and honour. They have a code. It's not their fault that we don't.

I am fully in support of their regime change agenda, and if it results in a northern military head of state, I will offer my full support to him as long as his agenda involves aligning Nigeria with the AES bloc and integrating Nigeria's economic and defense strategies with China and Russia.

In case you're asking, "Has David given up on democracy?" The answer is, whatever poor attempt at democracy that existed in Nigeria died on May 29, 2023. Since then, Nigeria has been ruled by a hostile, foreign-puppeted, unelected occupying regime made up of former inhabitants of American prison cells.
