Why I’m For Data Centers in Montana — And Why You Should Be Too
I’m a Montana real estate agent with 10 years in the business and most of my life in ag.
While everyone is fighting data centers online, I’m saying Montana should chase them — if we negotiate smart.
The irony is thick: The same crowd that rammed through giant solar farms and wind projects — with their massive non-recyclable waste and enormous land footprints — is now opposing data centers.
Yet a hyperscale data center = only 100–160 acres max and delivers way higher economic output. Eastern Montana’s cheap(er) land + high-alkalinity water (useless for crops) is perfect.
And these buildings… way less of an eyesore in my opinion.
A lot of people worry data centers will make Montana too populated. Truth is, they don’t flood towns with new residents like a giant shipping warehouse or large industrial complex would. Once built, these sites run with a tiny permanent staff and don’t drive migration or strain housing/schools. (I wouldn’t oppose those other projects either — if the benefits clearly outweigh the downsides.)
Closed-loop cooling changes the game on water use: the systems get filled once and recycle the same water over and over with almost zero ongoing draw. This directly counters the “they’ll suck our water dry” arguments.
Only real output = heat. Sweden, Japan, North Dakota & Quebec already pipe that heat into greenhouses for year-round farming and livestock water.
Ranchers and farmers with natural gas wells are already setting up micro data centers and leasing compute using shipping containers. It’s another revenue stream absolutely necessary so why not use it?
Biggest win for families already here: Cheaper utilities.
These projects subsidize upgrades to our existing coal + hydro grid and roads on the companies’ dime. They also have the income to develop Montana’s natural gas, lowering energy costs statewide.
Trades cash in: 18–36 months of high-paying work for electricians, concrete crews, contractors & logistics guys — supercharging local businesses.
24/7 security? Negotiate those jobs for retired veterans.
Data centers = national security priority now. AI is critical infrastructure, just like our nukes. Why not bring the future here?
If it’s going to happen, just work to get what’s needed— it’s a negotiation.
Montana legislature needs to demand grid upgrades, heat reuse for ag, veteran jobs, and real benefits.
Let’s let technology do its thing and make Montana more affordable for the rural communities that deserve it — without the huge government subsidies that all those “green” projects required.
And Yes, I used AI to write this and it currently costs only $30/month. I’d like to keep it that way and make sure others with common sense get to use it for that much or less too.
Let’s make Montana the forward-thinking state that grabs this opportunity before it goes to Texas or Virginia.

Look how these aholes treat JD. The Qatar dude totally dissed him.
I’m so done with these people. There will never be peace with these Islamoterrorists.
Get on a plane and come home, @JDVance!
@Sooner_Bred13@amjadt25 We’ve made progress, I hope they are just getting all of these officials id’d so they can keep killing more and finish them off for good.
@Jason If we don’t bomb Kharg island and destroy everything financially that is supporting that terrorist regime (take over the strait) , then you are absolutely correct.
I can proudly say I never fell for Shawn Ryan.
Yeah, I did fall for Megyn Kelly.
I fell for Tucker Carlson.
And obviously, I fell hard for Candace Owens.
**BUT** — I quit Candace almost 2 years ago.
I knew Tucker was fraudulent shortly after Charlie’s funeral.
As far as Megyn, I was already questioning her because of all the cussing and tough-guy act. But the second she chose Candace over Erika… I was **DONE**.
Boy oh boy, did we make all the wrong people famous.
Just as a point of logic... One of @JDVance's rationales for this deal was that the interest of the U.S. and Israel sometimes diverge. That's no doubt true. But then why should he berate Israel for objecting to a deal that they feel is not in their interest? Vance is not a bad guy, but he should get himself a Tucker-ectomy and a nobler set of principles.
“We can’t afford to save & invest”
“Not possible in this economy”
The economy:
$60k wedding
$50k Ford F-150
$450k mortgage
$60k house remodel
$10k Disney vacation
A tale as old as time 🙂
Okay so first cost through AMC was $850. Then they charged me another $550 because they didn’t realize the distance for the appraiser. Then when he had to come back it was another $250 initial, and then another $250 because they said they didn’t realize the distance… again. And the only reason he had to come back was when he came out the first time he said he wouldn’t take photos of my second custom kitchen because it would appraise higher if he left it out. This was a SFH I turned into an up/down duplex.
And the appraisal? Well it came in $80k below my minimum of my own CMA range (been a realtor for over 10 years and this is an up and coming little resort and mining town in Montana) . So there’s all that.
@trevizo_gabe Dang. I recently got charged $2,500 total for a small residential appraisal because the appraiser missed things and had to go back . And the lender picked an appraiser over 3 hours away when there’s plenty within an hour. Total nightmare. lol
The media’s obsession with the reflecting pool shows that they have the capacity to cover the rampant crime and filth of our inner cities, but choose not to for political reasons
Oh and by the way? That isn’t paint. They would know this if they weren’t total retards.

Where is Emma Watson?
Where is Natalie Portman?

Why are they silent?!
Trump killed 50 of Iran's top leaders, did at least $1 trillion worth of damage to their military equipment and infrastructure, totally wiped out their naval fleet and air fleets, put their government in a state of endemic internal conflict, and left them totally incapable of meaningfully attacking their neighbors in the region any time soon. By the end of it, all Iran could do is rig the strait with mines and take pop shots at passing ships.
The loss of insurance coverage had more of an impact on the flow of marine traffic than Iran did.
I personally would have preferred the total destruction of the IRGC (which technically isn't off the table if they decide to FAFO) but it would have been difficult to accomplish without more civilian casualties -- something third worldist leftoids were already complaining (and campaigning) about.
In the meantime, consider the following:
No boots on the ground. No prolonged conflict. No permanent occupation. No military draft. No lasting impact on energy prices. No multi-trillion dollar boondoggle. None of the things anti-war retards with Israel tunnel vision like Dave Smith and Candace Owens predicted would happen.
In addition:
- Oil and gas prices are falling in time for summer and the midterms.
- "Free Palestine" third worldists like Graham Platner have less ammo on which to campaign for Congress.
- Russia is bringing in less revenue.
- The U.S. got a foot in the door to block China's Belt and Road projects.
- Trump has greater latitude to tighten sanctions on Russia without exacerbating supply shocks to energy markets.
- Europe and America have agreed to increase cooperation in providing for the national defense of Ukraine.
- Israel isn't a signatory to the MOU and isn't bound by its terms, leaving it free to independently defend itself from threats if necessary.
- America isn't creating a power vacuum for China and Russia to fill by absconding and surrendering its own influence over the region.
The people who say this is a "humiliating defeat" for Trump?
- Russia
- China
- Iran
- Democrats
- The leftist Drudge-led media establishment
All the worst people you know have joined arms and are pretending like Iran pulled one over on the Bad Orange Man in hopes that it will piss off Republicans and Israelis enough to get them to kill the deal themselves.
It's very transparent. Don't let your enemies control you with such a stupid and obvious Reflexive Control op.
🚨Just a reminder that before Rupert Lowe’s Rape Gang Inquiry Report was released Piers Morgan said my claim of 250,000 girls being raped by Pakistani Muslim men in Britain was “utterly ridiculous.”
Cenk Uygur said that I was “making it up.”
24 hours ago, it was revealed that 250,000 young British girls were raped, gang raped, drugged, and trafficked by Islamists in the UK.
Ian Carroll? Silent.
