We and our neighbours have been in this “30 a day” atmosphere for over a month. Today is going to be incredibly dangerous for our Hawkesbury volunteer firefighters in 43 degree heat and high winds. I fear for them.

When the volunteers hand cut firelines at our property in the Hawkesbury area, just last week, the bush fire smoke was so thick you could not see a bulldozer working 150 metres away. It’s been over a month now.
