I just saw the coolest lesson at @AuburnJrHigh. Mr McVay’s class Spheros robots to collaboratively discuss genetic modification. In the end, Battle Bots - Thunderdome. This was one of the best technology infused lessons I’ve seen using robots. @AuburnCityEdu@ITAuburnCityEdu
Good stuff happening in @AHSAuburnTigers Mrs. Middleton’s robotics class getting ready for competition! Lots of future engineers in this group! @AuburnCityEdu
What’s your motivation? When you walk in your purpose, your job becomes your joy! I hope this video will help you develop your own mission statement. @ABurtMurray @ThaBugMan@Oprah@NationUnitedFo1
@AuburnJrHigh teacher Ms. Kelly Johnson leading an awesome See, Think, Wonder lesson introducing the Middle Ages. Kids are working with images that align to topics within the unit. Keynote is the tech tool to help make it happen with help from @JJBoylan
Got to stop by and see Ms. Antoniak working with @JJBoylan Using @Apple Clips. This technology infused session was about the brain. Great job @EastSamford students. The students were totally engaged.
@nearpod has been huge for @AuburnCityEdu teachers this year to enable learning despite COVID. Kudos to ACS teachers for integrating tech tools like Nearpod so learning can still happen!
So proud of one of my former students, Izzy Seidman , who is helping to make @AHSAuburnTigers safe, inclusive, and equitable for all students.

@AHSAuburnTigers Aquaculture and Fisheries teacher Mrs. Rebecca Balkcom leading her class in learning how to take stream samples. Putting biology and chemistry to work! From a few weeks ago but worth sharing! @AuburnCityEdu

Some say yesterday’s severe weather outbreak was a “bust”. Just because a tornado didn’t hit a larger city like Birmingham or Tuscaloosa doesn’t mean “bust”. There are real people who live in rural areas, and there is real suffering this morning. NWS surveys will tell the story.
5 BIG New Teacher Mistakes
1. You Grade Everything
2. You Want The Students To Like You
(This shouldn’t be your primary motive...rather, a byproduct)
3. You Don’t Take Care Of Yourself
4. You Work Alone
(3 words...Ask for help!)
5. Staying Too Late
