Today is a good day. APP1 took their exam today, Gen is hard at work with circuits labs, and I made breakfast casserole for my classes. All the prep work to get to this day is unbelievable, but well worth it. #mhsdaily19#keepitup
This week has been incredible for my #genphys kids. In a cabinet, I found bowling balls and a pin. On a whim, I built a ramp and designed this diabolical inquiry lab. The players: energy, momentum, impulse, friction, wonky floor (not intentional). The goal: hit the pin. 🎳
After presentations, each group had a set amount of time to set up and run as many trials as they could. It was exciting and heart wrenching and frustrating and amazing all at the same time. The high pitched scream at the end.. that was me. 🤭
Today, we presented our ideas. Focusing on problem solving over having all the right answers. The obstacles faced, how they mitigated the foreseeable problems, and overcame them. All the warm fuzzy feelings. 🥰 We incorporated coping strategies in this endeavor. #problemsolving
