Be different, not better.
Apple showed us a perfect example of that this week.
They didn't showcase a "better" VR headset than Google Glass or Oculus.
They showcased "spatial computing".
Every web3 project can learn from the Vision Pro release.
@TitanXBT @JokerDegods @SolanaFndn Grants make sense. I don't think they've ever done that, but there's definitely some quality, differentiated, projects that would deserve some run way.
Idk how a showcase does anything for a collection. But that might be me missing that value that brings.
Apple takes aim at being the King of a new marketing category:
Spatial Computing
VR products have been underwhelming. But where Google and Facebook “launched a product”, Apple is “launching a category”.
That's why they will win- Just like they did with the smart phone.
Branding is overlooked by many projects in web3.
They think a logo and website are "branding".
But a brand strategy is key to standing out from this copycat market. Strategy points a project's team, community and decisions in the same direction.
