I'm going to hold your hand when I say this. Capitalism always becomes crony corporatism. When a corporation in the market makes enough money, they use it to influence politics. They buy the politicians.
This is why capitalism doesn't work. It's bullshit is a feature, not a bug
Then you can’t imagine becoming a trillionaire because you have to be evil to do it
I hope folks reflect on how such wealth is acquired & not simply 🤩 the amount
Capitalism is neat because the world's first trillionaire had the resources to end global hunger and instead actively chose to starve hundreds of thousands of people to death
Pro lifers genuinely believe that you should be forced to carry and give birth to a disabled child that will need constant care their whole lives while they continue to support the party that vows to cut funding for every program that would help those individuals the most
Having seen both films, I noticed they both tackle themes of loneliness which is increasingly relevant in a post Covid social media saturated world.
The success of both of them says a lot about what the younger generation is feeling.
Social security is inflation adjusted.
Medicare is taxpayer provided
The mortgage is paid off.
You're not raising kids.
You can afford a property tax bill which averages out to 1% of the equity you could withdraw from the house.
"Capitalism is Inherently evil and exploitative, even in times of prosperity there's so much rot within it's structure"
"So.... you just hate your job? I wish I had one lmao"
The difference between a million dollars and a billion dollars is a billion dollars and I'm afraid way too Americans do not understand that basic concept.
