I get that it being in the index right away will cause the index funds to buy it right away, I just don’t get what the alternative is. if it’s not included right away, and it goes to $4T before it’s added to the index, that’s bad for the passives. and they are probably pretty annoyed that their index of ‘the market’ does not include such a huge company.
