Redefining Impact - Over two decades ago, I did open heart surgery at AKU on a 4-year-old child from rural Sindh with Tetralogy of Fallot. This month, that same child joined us as an intern in Cardiothoracic Surgery at AKU. #impact@AKUGlobal@AKUAANA

@LiangRhea This should be daily post ward round ritual. Good for morale, planning rhe day and can clarify patient plans
Is this not routine everywhere? 😱
@AndrewJD And some of us lost 4 very expensive years to dental school
Sorry you had a rough time. Guess all we can do is remember it's rubbish and do what you can to support those going through it
🆘Hello @UniOfHull@HullHospitals
Your PA student was busy video recording a Doctor whilst he was rushing to save the life of a newborn baby with potential Respiratory arrest 💀☠️
⭕️The nurses/midwives put out the call and this sheila was expected to help with delivering samples to the lab or even scribing.
⭕️Neonatal emergencies are not the best time to create content for TikTok. You’re shadowing this Doctor to learn and gain experience.
⭕️I would crucify Medical students if they acted in such reckless and unprofessional manner.
Please educate your PA students.
Thanks
National selection for #OMFS began in 2010, most (forced) changes were negative for OMFS recruitment. Free paper https://t.co/vku8pVVUWP shows a consensus for managing OMFS problems similarly to academic surgery (Walport posts) @FitOmfs@jtg_baoms@BAOMSOfficial@BJOMS_official
@fatima_medic @tauheed_akram Yes clinics are service provision. Getting through waiting lists of patients referred in. Scopes are just part of your examination.
@fatima_medic @tauheed_akram That literally is service provision. Seeing and treating patients is the end goal.
The reason FY1s take referrals is to keep an organised list, clerk pts and get investigations started so those with more experience can put it all together. If a GP isnt sure hospital is safe bet
