It’s been a privilege to work with @UK_ISAR_TEAM once more and to lead our dedicated medical crew. A small contribution to the huge effort required to rebuild this incredible and beautiful place and to support the remarkable Moroccan people. Going home for now, but will be back.

In response to the devastating aftermath of the earthquake in Morocco, #UKISAR has mobilized a team on behalf of @FCDOGovUK.

The teams have been treating injured people and searching for survivors trapped under collapsed buildings in the mountains of Asni today.

Our heartfelt thoughts and solidarity go out to all those affected by this tragic earthquake.

10 days after her house collapsed on her in #CycloneFreddy. In a local boat but unable to get to safety. Boat, pick-up and 4x4 move to hospital taking 7 hrs. @drjameshickman

A large number of areas in the Nsanje District are still difficult to access. Today, part of our #UKISAR team has assisted in providing essential food supplies to more than 61,000 displaced individuals in the region #Malawi 🧡

Privileged to be in Malawi with #UKISAR. Great UK national Fire & Rescue search and rescue service. Using flood rescue techniques to rescue stranded people and bring them to safety. So far 290 successful rescues. More work ahead. #UKinMalawi

The distressing images witnessed throughout Malawi are now being replaced with images of hope 🙏

#UKISAR have successfully rescued a total of 123 individuals (16 babies, 62 children & 45 adults) who have been stranded and without water or food for 5 days #hope #CycloneFreddy 🧡

In collaboration with Tanzanian Helicopters the #UKISAR team, and #UKISAR equipment, have been transported to Bangula in order to provide assistance with the flood response.

The team will join efforts to provide aid to those in need 🧡🙏

Severe flooding and landslides caused by #cyclonefreddy have resulted in extensive damage across Malawi.

His Majesty The King has sent a message of condolence to the President and People of #Malawi offering his “thoughts and special prayers to everyone affected by this appalling natural disaster”. UK stands with our Commonwealth partner at this time of great need.
