Today DOSHS in conjunction with Oshpro Services conducted a one day training to the beauty and Salon Workers to sensitize them on key hazards in their workplace. The training covered topics on Chemical Safety, Ergonomics and the legal overview on Occupational Safety and Health.
A delegation from Doshs led by Dr. Nyandusi convened at the senate to have a consultative meeting with the Senate Committee on Labour and Social Welfare on the state of health and safety in the country.

The Board, with funding support from Lloyd's Register Foundation is undertaking a study to enhance safety in construction. Under the program the Board, in consultation with key agencies in built environment, prepared safety curriculum for engineering students and practitioners and tools for monitoring safety on site.
The Board has organized a two-day workshop focused on finalizing safety curricula and developing monitoring tools. The workshop has brought together experts from academia, industry practitioners, DOSH representatives @DOSHS_KE and the Project Implementation Team.
In her opening remarks, the registrar @Eng_MaggieOgai
welcomed the team and commended their commitment to supporting the Boards efforts to embed a stronger safety culture within the engineering value chain.
She highlighted key milestones achieved since its inception.
This reaffirms our commitment to enhancing safety skills and embed safety culture to reduce site risks and improving the quality of engineering practice in Kenya.
