@the3els@DavisMattek Saving these recommendations. Love LOTR and ASOIAF and halfway through Malazan. Loving Malazan so far. It's about halfway between the two. Similar to ASOIAF in its jump between/disregard for main characters. But, more of a grand fantasy adventure like LOTR.
@PatKerrane@DavisMattek Told myself this year: only enter BBs. Before forgetting I chose @FFPC league entries as the prize from all my winning leagues last year... Let's grind that waiver wire...
@VibhaNarayanan@AcademicChatter@OpenAcademics Same as a journal article. Submission, major review, minor review, proofs, finally published and available.
I usually feel a bit of inevitably and relief by the same it's actually online. So enjoy the feeling of each small completion.
@VibhaNarayanan@AcademicChatter@OpenAcademics For me, there were too many 'endings'. Finished draft, submission, defense, corrections(?), graduation. You never know when to actually celebrate by the end.
Try to celebrate each in their own way rather building up expectations for one huge celebratory moment.
@s_mckinley@taheri_babak Quite interestingly, a lot of our participants desired more localised region events and were more put off by large international (and typically less sustainable) events.
@s_mckinley@taheri_babak Hi Shawna, sorry for the delayed response. I was waiting for the final version of the paper to be published (if you like, I'm more than happy to send it on to you).
@fantasymojo@joeyz_dpa@FFPC I wonder if a lot of 3 QB teams were Lance/Fields teams. Need 2 QB to cover uncertainty.
Given it didn't pay off... Could explain poor performance.
