I just realized that I haven't been sick since I started the carnivore diet 1/1/23.
Not even a toothache.
No sniffles, no headaches, nothing.
The healthiest year of my life in decades.
I don’t trust doctors or dietitians who tell you that red meat 🥩 is bad for your health. They already lost any credibility because they failed the test of common sense.
Ancient food cannot be responsible for modern diseases. You cannot find more nutrient dense food than meat.
I finally realised why I find this man so unappealing. It's his arrogance and lack of humility. The work of science is to understand nature, not to control it. But his grandiosity is such that he believes he alone - in all the world - has the right to control whatever in nature he so chooses.
Yet his track record is appalling. Wherever he has interfered in his goal to control nature, he has left a swathe of disaster, most especially will all his "vaccination" escapades especially in Third World countries.
And no one seems to notice other than @RobertKennedyJr. And @liz_churchill10
Ozempic & similar drugs only about 1/2 as effective for weight loss as advertised, at least 1/2 of weight lost is muscle mass, and more than 1/2 have side effects. The good news? People CAN stop these drugs without gaining the weight back with the right lifestyle changes.
If a cardiologist recommends nutrition, exercise, and sleep for heart health, is that "lifestyle cardiology" or just good "cardiology?"
If a psychiatrist recommends nutrition, exercise, and sleep for brain health, is that "lifestyle psychiatry" or just good "psychiatry?"
Fructose and alcohol have striking similarities in their metabolism and how they cause metabolic diseases like insulin resistance, fatty liver disease, and gout. They both:
1. Do NOT need insulin for uptake into the liver, unlike glucose.
2. Bypass normal early regulatory mechanisms of glucose metabolism in the liver allowing rapid and excessive utilization.
3. Lead to increased triglyceride synthesis in the liver without needing insulin, contributing directly to fatty liver disease and insulin resistance.
4. Increase uric acid production in the liver independent of dietary sources (also indirectly decrease uric acid excretion by the kidneys), therefore increasing the risk of gout. (Red meat or shellfish are not the real problem in gout).
The bottom line is that excess fructose and alcohol consumption both disrupt normal energy metabolism in the liver, negatively impacting glucose balance through promoting insulin resistance and poor metabolic health.
The emphasis here is on the word “excess”, as in liquid sugar, high fructose corn syrup, junk food loaded with sugar and excess alcohol consumption.
I am NOT saying that eating fruit or having an occasional alcohol drink are the problem.
Changes since August 2023 (4+ months):
This is the data from a woman we are working with, and the changes we have seen in body composition and lab markers. In a short 4 month timeframe, she has lost a significant amount of weight, 90% of it being fat loss. Visceral (unhealthy...
