Being rational doesn’t mean simply being intelligent or logical—it means the capacity to reflectively become aware of self deception and systemically intervene it
You use your intelligence to systemically (on many levels) overcome self deception
Now you want to coordinate all of the rationalities (so that they don't conflict) and they instead are coherent and afford each other
So you get a rationally self transcending field of rationalities
That long phrase can be replaced with:
Wisdom
Your brain is incredible at pattern recognition—but this superpower has a dark side:
Once you see a pattern—it becomes incredibly hard to "unsee" it.
You become trapped in your own mental models.
The frame becomes a prison.
This reveals something crucial:
The art of systematically breaking patterns to see reality anew.
You need practical techniques to disrupt your normal patterns of thinking.

"I’ve been wanting to speak out for the last year — but because of what Lykos and the MAPS board interpreted as my fiduciary responsibility to the Lykos board membership, they said I should control my message.
But now, I am unleashed."

A core thesis of Deus ex Meatbody is the freedom-stuckness spectrum so well put by @RubenLaukkonen
“I have experienced, as many others have, that breaking out of stuckness and dissatisfaction (which are highly correlated), requires two things: knowing the mind and an experiential transformation. Knowing the mind is self-awareness. The experiential transformation is awakening.”

If you’re following the drama surrounding the FDA advisory meeting on MDMA therapy, see this incredible article by Rachel Nuwer, who literally wrote the book on the history & science of MDMA.
Harvard Dr. @KingFranklinIV succinctly summed up the “dumpster fire” of a meeting; “The biggest issue is that the advisory committee members really showed a kind of astounding lack of knowledge about the subject matter."
The cost of their ignorance are the lives of our veterans and others in desperate need of PTSD treatments that actually work.
The researchers who know the science are now punching back.

FDA MDMA/PTSD meeting has been fascinating. One of the most compelling reveals: This isn't what I would call "expectancy" assessment, but the effect of functional unblinding. For those thinking they got MDMA, therapeutic effect was nearly identical between MDMA & placebo. Yikes
