@El_GioRamos Im impressed to see this online from them so quickly, amidst all the … stuff. And relieved to see there will be ways to keep doing this type of scholarship through NIH.
Defunding the world’s leading scientific community is akin to a performing a prefrontal lobotomy on the nation—you are effectively severing the connections between the most innovative ideas and its citizens. Everyone deserves to benefit from science and society is stronger for it.
We explain why cutting support for science harms everyone!
@JFeltPhD@AmericanAir@PeteButtigieg I know after some point it seemed the credits have to be used within a year, but I would think your credit expiration would be based on the date you were first emailed, not a policy that went into effect later :/
For anyone who might be interested in applying to PhD programs in quant methods this year, nearly all of the faculty in the Arizona State quant psyc program will be reviewing applications!

@GabriellePfund I've had journals INSERT TYPOS into proofs... including IN TABLES
Just, how?! What?!!?! Something like that should never even happen!!!!!
Cold-emailing potential postdoc advisors is a hugely successful strategy! Here is the exact e-mail I sent back in the day (& it worked) - feel free to use as a template: https://t.co/OPtsiqH2Kh
No more searching for how to cancel your subscriptions.
Today, the FTC finalized a "Click-to-Cancel" rule to make it as easy to cancel a subscription as it is to sign up for one.
Thank you, @linakhanFTC!
We're hiring! Assistant/associate, open HDFS area, & using 1 or more advanced quant methods, e.g., SEM, mixed effects/MLM, & their extensions, approaches applicable to prevention/intervention, &/or other types of longitudinal &/or dyadic modeling. LMK if you have questions!
@macauleylab I am liking the registered reports concept and am starting to push my lab to do those, but again, you are still beholden to the semi-random grouping of reviewers for the peer review of the stage 1 intro + methods...
@macauleylab Seriously, you'd think we would all come up with a better system by now... I think the process where reviews are open/public is a start, but really all it does it put the poor inter-rater reliability in a public sphere. It doesn't solve the underlying problem.
@KellyannNavarre@SMasonGarrison @AAUliaszek @DrSkyeFitz This sounds so fascinating! Please add my email to the list of people you should send the article to as soon as you approve proofs!

Dear friends who write NSF GRFP rec letters, this year rec letters are due BEFORE the applications, so about 10 days earlier than normal on Oct. 11. Please don't let NSF's deadline change on rec letters screw over the applicants in your lives.
@sTeamTraen Reasonable, but people should be reporting full descriptives and correlation tables even if the data are open access. It's so important from a meta-scientific perspective.
@GhawinRiver @TheMorgenroth I am similar to @GhawinRiver. It's less about total hours towards rsch and more about making sure they have life-work balance, are healthy/happy, and are developing as a scholar. I don't push students to devote more time to rsch if it's at the expense of their health/sanity.
