2A state track and field: Reece Klosterman of Boyle County finished third in the girls pole vault at 9-0. She was in a three-way tie for the best height.
Mike Tirico told me his secret.
It wasn't talent.
It wasn't luck.
It was what he does on every flight home.
A few years ago, I met him at a restaurant bar in Indianapolis during the Big Ten tournament. One of the biggest voices in sports.
He didn't lead with his résumé. He introduced himself. He asked questions. He cared about every person in the room before anyone cared about him.
Eventually, I asked him what made him great.
He said after every game he calls, on the flight home, he pulls up the broadcast and watches it back.
Listens to his own voice. Hunts for the misses. The dead air. The calls he wishes he could have over.
Every game. Twenty-plus years in.
He wasn't born world-class. He worked his way there one flight at a time.
The best in any room are usually the ones still grading themselves the hardest.
World-class isn't a personality.
It's a habit.
Shoutout to all of our players for the hard work and commitment they continue to show every single morning at 6:45 AM in the weight room. The growth doesn’t happen by accident — it comes from discipline, sacrifice, and choosing to work when most people are still asleep.
A huge shoutout as well to Coach Tyler Wayne Ray for the energy and leadership he brings every day as he pushes our guys in the weight room. His passion and consistency help set the tone for our program.
Very blessed to have a GREAT staff that challenges and pushes each other daily to make sure our players are being developed in ALL areas of life — on the field, in the classroom, and as young men.
Proud of this group. The work continues.
GO REBELS!!!

THIS GUY BUILT AN AUTOMATED PIGEON DEFENSE SYSTEM FOR HIS BALCONY
pigeons kept nesting on his balcony so he engineered a full detection and deterrent system
here's how it works:
1\ camera captures video in real time
2\ an AI model identifies the pigeon in real time
3\ a water gun mounted on servo motors turns toward it
4\ sprays the pigeon automatically
the hardware:
> an orange pi 5 running the detection model
> a disassembled electric battery-driven water gun
> USB camera
> 2 servo motors for aiming
> resistors and a transistor to trigger the water gun
the detection runs on an AI vision model (yolo world v2) using the rockchip 3588's built in neural processing unit.
the best part is that it's not limited to pigeons. because it uses open vocabulary detection, you can reprogram the target to any object. squirrels, cats, raccoons, whatever is messing with your balcony
fully automated, runs 24/7, no manual intervention needed
Excited to see where @calebdowns lands in tonight’s @NFLDraft…he’ll live eternally in my memory as the one who generated this reaction from @GrantKlosterman on our father/son @OhioStateFB game trip last season 🙏🏼
Imagine this:
- 1st Dwn: Run block against a Top 10 Pick setting the edge
- 2nd Dwn: Pass protect against a different Top 10 Pick blitzing
- 3rd Dwn: Get open against yet a different Top 10 Pick in man coverage
Just another day at practice for Buckeye TEs

ONYEKA OR BANE? Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu is wearing a Bane-like mask after his BRUTAL mouth injury last week.
Is this one of the best masks ever worn in the NBA? 🤔
NEW: Seneca Driver, the No. 1-ranked tight end in 2027, is set to visit Kentucky for Junior Day on Jan. 24, he tells KSR+.
"When Will Stein and the staff came in, it opened my interest more."
